So far from reading this thread: GM didn’t go out and get competant goaltending during the offseason and they’ve also had a bunch of injuries and players not matching what they did last year. But apparently Ruff would have different results here…

We already have an overpaid, oft-injured defenseman on the roster. No to Chychrun.

Vancouver is one of the best in the league. They’re not going to trade one of their best players when they are favorites to win the cup. That, and winning changes everything. If they win the cup, Pettersson may likely have a change of heart.

I think this has to be due to too many distractions at home. Kids, spouses/GFs, etc. I know when I travel for work, I’m there to work and only work.

But when I hear they got a player who has become too comfortable, I say that’s exactly the type of player we don’t have and sorely need.

Simple. He doesn’t play like any other on the team - he takes his shots from high danger zones. He plays bigger than he is. This is something you can’t teach. Now, the other biggest reason is he hasn’t been with the organization long enough to be ruined. There’s something about this team that makes players improve, hit a wall, and get worse. The whole team has. I’m not sure if it’s reversible, but the team needs a new coach before it’s too late.

Buffalo should be listening to other teams for any player not named Benson or Dahlin. KA wouldn’t be doing his job if he wasn’t.
