  1. Yeah, but I'm not optimistic.
  2. This team has 20 minutes to get its together or they get booed at their last home game. They need to remember why they have jobs.
  3. I'm completely trashed. Let go Canes!!!! Grigirenko, you sir are a bust (just for tonight).
  4. I thought I read somewhere that the last place team has never lost the lottery 2 years in a row. So, if we lose the top pick again (assuming we finish last), the conspiracy theories can start.
  5. Yep. It would be great for the Sabres to drop Monday's game and end the season on a high note, with all the fans cheering for them and them winning.
  6. This has shaped up well. Let's all push for a Yotes loss now.
  7. There still seems to be a significant philosophical disconnect between Nolan and Murray, which you don't see on other teams. GMTM won't be sentimental in dealing with Nolan. Nor will the fans this time around.
  8. Ted Nolan. Next time maybe he'll share the vision of his employer. Oh wait, there won't be a next time. I disagree Nolan has been playing for his NHL life. He knew the expectations going into this season and he decided to go rogue...once again. He's done it in the past and he's doing it again today. In fact, Nolan is coaching his way out of the NHL with his inability to be a team player. If we don't finish last, he'll definitely be fired and he won't coach another NHL game in his life. Lesson not learned, I guess.
  9. Either way. Nolan's got to go as soon as the season's over. He's not coaching for anyone but himself, and for a guy with as much experience as he has, you would've thought he'd understand by now that there's politics in the workplace you need to play by. He's defied the people who have employed him before and he's doing it again, so I'm about ready now for a GM and coach who are on the same page. I'm fine with Marner or Strome, but I want to see Nolan gone by season's end.
  10. Gosh, EDM is going to play themselves out of even the top 3rd pick. They in the least need Hanifin and it looks like they're going to lose him. I guess this is why this team is in perpetual purgatory.
  11. I just read on ESPN that the Sabres are on a 4 game "skid". It's must've been written by someone with great knowledge of the Shart.
  12. Yep, Tyler in on the Shart. Hopes he's fine though.
  13. I just hope the city organizes a March of Disgust after we win this thing. It's been awhile since we had a parade for a sports team.
  14. All this "blue-collar" crap is really holding this city back. Last time I checked, Buffalo has lost many factories and their jobs, just as most U.S. cities (especially those in the "rust belt" - another horrible stereotype). I think it's time Buffalo stepped out of the 20th century and realized that those days are gone. It's time to look toward the future.
  15. I initially thought this too, but now I really can't say for sure if teams are tring to tank. We seen it with the Sabres and we saw it with the Yotes last night. Every loss is huge at this point, but they're still winning games they have no business winning.
  16. That's funny, I was just wondering how the Yotes fan(s) was taking this loss.
  17. Let's go for 2 now!
  18. This is a beautiful thing. Far more than what was expected.
  19. That would be fantastic. Either the Vinz or Irbe straps the pads on...of course with him wearing an Erie Otters Jersey on. It really depends on how bad Nolan wants to stay employed. He needs to stop being so selfish and just let this play out. It's not about him. It's about the Sabres, it's about his boss and the guy who signs his paycheck.
  20. http://sabres.buffalonews.com/2015/03/24/darcy-regier-planning-to-be-in-buffalo-for-sabres-game-against-coyotes/ I just don't like the sound of this. It's almost like he's coming back to make sure the job's done right, but ironically for another team. Or, the stench Darcy will carry with him throughout FNC will just cause the Sabres to raise their game. Perhaps the Sabres should through together a little video tribute for him - just to get our players and the crowd nauseated enough to pull out the win.
  21. By the time Matthews makes it to the NHL, it'll be for Las Vegas.
  22. If anyone has such mixed emotions (or even remotely entertains them), I really can't see how they could consider themselves a Sabres fan.
  23. I agree. But stripping the Sabres of their 1st round draft pick this year would result in many years-worth of negative consequences, especially when the charges put forth (cheating) are bordering on not even debatable because they could they ever be proven and, in my wildest dreams, I could never imagine a player come forth in saying Nolan told them to throw games. I was going to put forth that anyone for stripping the Sabres of a draft pick would be putting the integrity of the NHL before the welfare of the Sabres. However, that's not accurate. Because stripping the Sabres of a draft pick would go against the very rules the NHL instituted themselves - in in itself would bastardize the integrity of the NHL. What the Sabres are doing are completely within the bylaws of the NHL.
  24. Ok. I somewhat agree with the eye roll, but I was just giving NS respect in order to get a serious response because I honestly can't fathom why someone calling themselves a "fan" would wish ill will towards a team they supposedly love. It doesn't matter if you are pro-tanker or anti-tanker, we all want the Sabres to succeed - we just differ in how this should occur. Wishing the Sabres were stripped of their draft pick is a complete departure from this though.
  25. Ok. No eye-roll here. I understand what you are saying and I agree cheating shouldn't be rewarded. But what exactly are the Sabres doing that constitutes cheating? To me they seem to be putting forth a respectable effort given their talent level. Our goalies aren't shooting on their own net (the video of Smith I posted in the thread). I respectfully disagree with the anti-tankers, but you seem to be taking it to an altogether new level. So, why are you wishing ill will on a team you supposedly are a fan of?
