Taking the bull by the horn...
-
I’ve finally filled those one handed excavations with Vermi-Green’s red worm compost. Two yards total. We lined the underworks of the deck with 6 mil plastic and lined it all with the rocks we’ve been digging up for the last six years. I did a lot by myself. A little with my 13 yo nephew’s help and today was Mrs. iT’s turn. She did a great job.

Only some people that post political idealism have their posts deleted(without warning or even a notice). I shared my feelings about Union workers and my post got sent to the beyond. That’s why I started the Resiliency thread “over there”. I’ve busted my ass for years. I deserve a voice too. Censored, I was. I’m just a dumb ***** Ironworker though. I shouldn’t be able to see the bias.

Adirondack native here. The little “whimper” call is my personal favorite. I can’t express how awesome it was to be able to walk to some of the most pristine waterways in the entire NE. Literally. The Little Salmon River was 100 yards behind my house. It intersected with the Salmon River 600 yards away. My entire “religion” is Earth based. BTW, I was pulling 14” rainbows out of that thing with a alder twig and 10’ of line with a fat crawler on the hook. Too much brush for a pole at the good spots. I’m not so proficient at open water fishing but get me in a good sized brook in the scrub...we’ll eat good.

We were the only people in there most of the time. There was a hot tub but I don’t get into the community soup bowl. As far as nudie stuff goes, my best friend growing up had ex-60’s hippy parents. They did all sorts of naked events and it hurt your eyes more than anything. Nothing noteworthy about a 48 year old grundle.

I’ve also taken only one cruise, ten years ago, and I can say that I’ll NEVER do it again. All these people let their children run wild and I never saw a single person wash their hands. I almost jumped overboard to escape but we discovered an adult only area with a bar so I managed.

And at bright blast of light inside the body. I heard that works too.

People don’t wash their hands and when they do they don’t wash them well enough. My evidence? The huge outbreaks of Norovirus on cruise ships. Norovirus comes from feces so I’ll let you surmise how hundreds of people become simultaneously infected with it. It makes me want to vomit thinking about it.

My father had a nose for BS and a precept: ”You may be able to snow the snowman, but you’re not going to BS the BSer.”

Big business doesn’t need market forces with their decennial bailouts.

I’m missing out on eight Amerks home games and those rounds of free playoff tickets that were promised when I renewed my seasons last year. I’ve been asking my wife(she’s in ticket management)if I should hold my breath about a refund. She isn’t hopeful considering there hasn’t been any communication from the organization is over a month. It’s starting to seem that you’re going to need to fight like hell to get any money back.

I want hockey in July as much as I want Christmas in July. I’m with @Weave, there’s just too much to do outside to stop and watch a barren hockey game. I would apologize to the hockey gods for my blasphemy, but maybe those jerks need to see how much they need us, the fan. There really is no better fan base than the Buffalo fan base. Ain’t I righter than rain @Theana745?

Somehow I missed this. Thank you very much. You wouldn’t believe the hardships that the first five years were. The salesman from the builder was solid but the worksmanship was not. They failed the code inspection in three consecutive visits. We hired a local lawyer that knew of these people to sue them for the remaining bank draw. They had a provision in the contract that required any litigation to be seen in the county of their main office. Seemed weird until we learned that the owner’s brother was one of two judges that would see the case. Then our lawyer that had success against these bozos passed away from cancer so we just settled the final draw with obligations on their part left unfulfilled. If I ever learn that I am terminal, I’m hunting these mother ***** down and beating them silly, one by one. Just like they beat my wife and me down. The well driller hired by the prime is now serving a life sentence for first degree murder. The well was garbage from day one and they lied about it due to a provision that I had in the contract. I hauled 500 gallons a week to a holding tank that I installed in the basement and plumbed into my waterworks for three years in rain/sleet/snow. We are now on the second well that produces 1/2 gallon/min so I engineered a system with float valves and a one hour cycle timer to have enough water for daily living. I still haul that 500 gallon tank for garden irrigation as needed. We’ve been diligent and are slowly conquering the foes that stand in our way to a fruitful homestead. We call it Baileyshire. I love it here and I intend for my ashes to be interred on site.

I’m really sorry but I couldn’t take it anymore. This is the biggest BS theory in the history of theories. There’s far too much potential for wealth for the “hand” to just go away. If that hand can’t figure out business(as it appears that it can’t) then another hand will step in to make that money that the first hand couldn’t(and they’ll use the same workforce). You’re argument is an old sales pitch to give the wealthy a break that they don’t deserve. I’ve been doing this for almost 30 years. I’m not fooled.

It depends. If the cam was washed in the sink first: PITA If not: Garbage edit: I was a germophobe before it was popular...

I think if you stack the protections, maintaining a proper distance when your talking a lot to minimize the exposure from a potential seal breech, you’ll be doing yourself a favor. Any N95 is going to leak a little at the seal from sweating/talking/moving around. A fit test finds the size that leaks least for you. According to the OSHA hierarchy of controls, PPE is the last line of defense. Engineering controls(protective barriers)administrative controls(rotating workers to minimize exposure)and substitution(materials) all are prioritized over PPE. As far as fit testing, there’s only three sizes(S/M/L). Unless you have a very small head/face, I’d go with the large. Hope this helps.

With a surgical mask you are protecting others. With N95 you’re protecting yourself. Even if it isn’t the best fitting mask. The idea of the fit test is to have you talking and doing stuff while they apply the indicator. If you smell it then unfiltered air got into your mask. You’re going to get a little leakage just due to the variety of face shapes. I for example have a smaller face but a medium is no good for me because my nose is too big. Just be conscience of that seal to your face and try not to do things that disturb it. Talking, chewing, etc.

Weary were the posters thoughts, into the fray he may have bought, but from the thoughts of things he sought, he realized what he is not.

Will you settle for alliteration?

A very hot tub, a very still night with very gentle snowflakes, making their return to reassure my resolve.

Doing good things. Resisting the urge to fall victim to fear and subsequently sell out your fellow human being. Profit and money in your pocket is a temporary solution to an eternal query. What benefit is there in giving more than you can “afford” to give? What part does economics play in your vision of religion? What do the prophets have to say about profits? Seems like there should be a reckoning with regards to wealth dispersement to me but the usual disclaimer will apply.

I've wanted a loft since I was just a little fella. I have a full sized bed right in between the knee wall for the stairs and the knee wall for the loft. Fits in there with barely enough room for the blankets. It is officially named The Napping Nook. You can doze in a bed yet hear any conversation downstairs. There's a full bedroom, Xbox mancave and sewing sweatshop up there. There was a ton of sacrifice that came with getting to the point of building a house.

In case ya didn't know, BNL are doing this thing....
