Lol, you really do live on the border of the Arctic Circle, don't you! Look at those conifers in the background. They’re 15’ tall and probably 100 years old...

A 4 Year Extension of the Current CBA will possibly go up for vote this week

I find this extremely interesting. The owners have no problem shutting it all down for a season but can they handle two consecutive shutdowns? I doubt they play hardball. These young talented players with a full life ahead of them have the upper hand. I’d go all in and bargain for a better deal. Collectively of course. That’s the only fair way to bargain. -
The taters have been my toil. Adirondack Blue this year. I’ve already pruned flowers so I’m hopeful for a bountiful crop.

I don’t think it should be a matter of politics at this point. It’s never been about my state is better than your state (which some have suggested by using the term tribalism to explain the situation). For me it’s about protecting the hard work done by the people that live here and want to protect their fledgling economy. There should also be no doubt in a person’s mind as to what a quarantine is. Ask Typhoid Mary. The mask debate shackles my belief in humankind. I really want to go there yet..... And now Texas is reaching ICU capacity.

The light green you see is Golden Purslane. It keeps the water around the pumpkin and squash roots, is friggin delicious and super nutritious. That entire crop is from the seeds scattered from tilling last years crop.

Anyone recognize this guy? 30” long, slender (not fat like a rattler). Got very aggressive and rattled his tail quite a bit. No rattles that I could see though. I’m thinking milk snake but I’m not convinced it wasn’t a small rattler or copperhead either.

I’ll admit that I am VERY impressed that you took your trees too! That is a lot of hard ass work!

I lost my mother three years ago today to cancer. She was 69 and died nine months to the day after my father died. They were good people. Full of love and honesty. She didn’t fear it one bit either.

That must have been some really good weed.?

That little dude looks like he’s found a slice of life. Good for him. Good for you too.

I’m not going to claim credit for these beautiful specimens of chicks-n-hens. Mrs. iT’s idea and project. I just water them. They are interesting though. Once they’ve taken hold, look the F out!

We haven’t had a drop of rain in forever. The lawns are crispy. We had fifteen minutes of rain with the sun shining. My boy Hobe chilling on the edge of cover in the rain... Like A Boss

I read “fact” #1. I’ll mirror @SwampD’s thoughts on that one. I read “fact” #2. On tonight’s news, DeSantis was lamenting the explosion of cases in people under 40. Their hospitals are at capacity and things are getting worse. I also read “fact” #3(which is where I stopped reading). How are we supposed to take an anecdotal account of a single asymptomatic as evidence that a ALL asymptomatic people haven’t transmitted? That phrase “emerging evidence” doesn’t stir me either. Science doesn’t emerge. It take long hours, tons of funding and personal dedication to get to the evidence that verifies the science. I’ll keep wearing my mask and staying the F away from all y’all.

I got my teeth into gardening while living in an apartment. I “branched” out in the mobile home park. Gardening is all about the small space. I’m cranking huge amounts of effort into something I get very little from except knowledge.

That’s just my experimental garden. I’ve crawled on my knees to pick rocks, plant seeds, pull weeds. My back! My knees! Very small gains so far. The raised bed fenced in gardens are the easy ones. I saw an Amish dude up North that had a big wheeled cart that had an open bottom that he could lay prone, pull himself along and do his business. That makes ME jealous!

We survived the crows. The spots they decimated were replanted with beans. So it’s a push I guess. This large unfenced garden is over planted because of the vermin. Now it’s the deer eating the sunflowers. They did the same thing last year and I didn’t have an answer. This time I put DoppleOgre back up and made a gallon of dried habanero tea and sprayed the entire garden. I guess I’ll see if they eat very many more by tomorrow. I’m watering with 150 gallons every day it’s so dry. I’m hammering my orchard with 100 gallons every other day and it’s really paying off. It’s exhausting though. My heirloom popcorn is definitely going to be knee high by the Fourth of July and if my habanero spray works I may actually get to eat some this year.

Does anyone really think there is going to be an AHL season? That’s why these guys were let go. Ticket sales drives this league that isn’t going to happen with the country as a whole having hotspots of infections.

So the mask thing has perplexed me. This video is new. It’s going into my bag of tricks for the classroom. If you don’t want to wear one for the good of your fellow human, at least do it to save the economy and in doing so, you’re own ass. Thanks! https://www.wusa9.com/article/news/health/coronavirus/facemask-video-airflow-coronavirus/507-8e08883d-c5c3-40a1-872a-0b65cb46a53f

Could Eichel actually be the problem with the Sabres?

Just like being born with a Jack between your legs doesn’t make you good with the ladies. You need to be so much more. So I’m told. -
While I’m here I’ll leave this. It’s the OSHA guidelines for protecting workers from Covid in the workplace. @LTS, this is a finalized version of the draft that I had posted before and didn’t work for you. Had it been made a standard it would be law but the road to get a new standard on the books is long and has many lobbyists along the way. I’m guessing if pandemic level spread of this virus continues then it may survive the journey. https://www.ebglaw.com/content/uploads/2020/03/Summary-of-OSHA-Guidance-on-Preparing-Workplaces-for-COVID-19-200316-1.pdf

Mr. Gordon Downie once crooned “It’s like we burned our boots with no contingency plan.” But hey, maybe there is a plan?

Hey if they hire me on as GM on the cheap, you want a coaching gig? Doesn’t matter if you can skate. Anyone know where I apply?
