  1. Sam could smell blood. Just missed.
  2. He looked like he was in slow mo in the first. Nice play by him there.
  3. McCabe should have known better than to take that hooking call.
  4. Claude, I am upset to hear of your situation with the furry family member. As hard as it is to recall, we went through a similar scenario. They bring so much to a family that they deserve the respect and love that you are giving. Keep at it and keep enjoying their company. Josie, you've always seemed very level headed. I'm pretty sure you're the type that can gather her wits together and make it through this sort of thing without doing anything silly. Take it from a high octane/can't sit still type that has had several repairs, you can certainly do the time. Don't worry about the surgery either. Relaxation and breathing techniques helped me through most of the pain. Some help here and there from beers and whatnot. The narcotics are good for the worst of it. I'm not worried about you getting hooked. Level headeds rarely do.
  5. I don't think his refusal to play there was due to anything more than the fact that the ownership sucked. Quebec is a great place to be. The day the NHL returns to QC is the day I change my avatar forever. Mission accomplished.
  6. RoR=hardworking SoB
  7. Ok Des. Time to flatten Thorton's nose.
  8. Oh boy. McCabe.
  9. These venison suggestions sound great. I grew up on the stuff. I'll share my favorite. I suggest brining your roast over night. Two tablespoons of salt per quart of water and whatever other seasonings you like. I use browning sauce and sear the outside on the grill full blast, then continue to cook it in the oven as a pot roast. Sneak a taste. Once it's cooled I pull it a bit and make it into a shepherd's pie. Top it with a healthy dose of your favorite cheddar and brown that up a bit. It sounds like a lot of work but so worth it. The brining relaxes the fibers and moistens the meat. You know it's good if my wife will eat it.
  10. 100% with you.
  11. That was a Nick Tahou's garbage plate.
  12. I hold my breath when Carpenter kicks. You just never know.
  13. Like 63/23
  14. I hope that missed extra point doesn't bite us in the ass.
  15. I am sorry to hear of your loss, Bio. This sort of thing is hard.
  16. Our poor little cat Doodle Bugs passed away early Saturday morning. My wife and I are absolutely heartbroken. He was 16 and had been sick and not himself for a month. We were feeding him baby food, giving him amoxicillin and sponge baths as he quit grooming. We were hopeful. I had a very vivid dream that morning that woke me up. He was with me and chattering and squeaking away like he had before the illness. When I looked at him he was plump and fluffy and grooming himself like he used to. I woke up confused and half expected to find him well. I did not. I felt as though I was burying my child. We have two others. A young fat one called Buttsqueaks and Doodles' brother Poopie. Buttsqueaks doesn't understand as he was trying to play with him when I had him covered in a blanket. Poopie knows though. Those two had 16 years together and slept in a pile most of the time. He is lost. I worry about him. My house is a very sad place to be right now.
  17. Good guys win 3-1. Carrier is definitely figuring it out. Dupuy with a goal. He was +5 heading into tonight's game. Liuwen looked pretty good. Sanguinetti had a nice play to interrupt a break away. Much better team to watch than last years. Oh and it was military appreciation night. There were veterans there but I misrepresented the theme. Very fun crowd.
  18. We play Binghamton at home in an hour. Televised locally on TWC sports channel 26 or channel 323 in Buffalo. It's veterans night. God bless those folks. Jean Dupuy has been good. Passed my lamo eye test. I see that he is team leader in assists with 6 as well as being tied for 2nd among league rookies. I'd like to get a Reinhart and an Ullmark. Bailey has finally put up points over the weekend. I want to see him do that here. Go Amerks!
  19. Yikes! I missed the first. Good thing. That's the sort of games he's had in Roch. The good moments are fine. The bad moments are terrible. I flip flop on my opinion of McCabe because he makes me do it.
  20. Those silly Tweeters. Won't they ever learn? Jk, man. I like the pic. Also I like the pick. Good for Jack. We won that lottery.
  21. Holy Moses. I'm sorry you've spoken to so many "brighter than a new moon" people today. I thought the point of the joke was that he's not on the tank, man. He's not on it, Bro!
  22. He was probably in some state of shock. I walked all over the iron with a crushed right foot for an hour until I came too enough to fully realize what had happened. I would be more impressed to see him come back and play the same game regardless of the set back. That's the bar I've set for myself and I'm nobody so he should double my efforts. Right?
  23. Mini pie was a collaborative effort. It has worked out so well that extra mini pies are made and frozen for an easy quick pie. It was all part of the peace agreement.
  24. My wife always bakes a mini pie with the big boy. She knows that I can not wait. I feel great shame. Then I eat pie.
  25. I saw this stupid movie called "the fog" when I was 5 or 6. It was the story. The fog. The monsters! I haven't been the same since.
