If I were the one to decide then I'd give Carrier the chance over Bailey. Carrier has seems to be a more consistent player.

I really like this move. Rudy walks out and Fedun walks in. Now if we could get the city to sell TP the damn building so he can renovated it we'd really have something.

For those of us with limited time to SS, it's good to have megathreads for entertainment and topic specific threads for noteworthy stuff. Makes it easier to decide when to break silence speak or just sit and listen.

Sadly I'll say it will go on for ages only because it has been going on for ages. There never seems to be enough common ground for country/religion/race/you name it for mankind to ever find world wide peace. I had high hopes as a young man but we are too competitive and self assured of our own rightness as a species to ever have total peace.

Yep. Very good player. That's why all of us guys that chose Quebec over Montreal(which we were closer to) felt betrayed. The Nords were coming on. I was a year out of college/work and looking for just one reason to stay. That was it. It worked out well for me in the end. I bounced around and ended up in Roch in a Calder cup year. I've had 20 yrs here, a full life and have the rest of it to enjoy Sabres/Amerks hockey. I forgive you, Eric. Maybe I was the big baby.

He's been upgraded to freed agent. I have no info on whether he is still a big baby or not.

I'm only butting into this enough to set the record straight as I see it as a 43 yo who lived in habs/nord country. Quebec failed not because of anything else other than a sh!tty owner and player salary increase put a squeeze on them. The lockout was the final nail. The fan base was there and expanding every year. Lindros was a big baby IMO. He gave some lame excuses but the real reason he wouldn't sign is that il ne parle pas un mot de francais. And he is a big baby. There's that as well. Also as far as I know Vesey is no Lindros so sign or not, it's all good.

"With a roster that wasn't exactly stacked with top-end talent." Some one should give Chuck a heads up... If TP were serious about winning in Roch then he should start by fixing up the dump they play in. I'm guessing if the locker rooms are half as bad as the bathrooms then only 5 guys get a hot shower after the game.

Played 18 on Atuneyote at Turning Stone today. Beautiful but very long course. You get a good perspective at how good the pros are when you play a 500 yard par 5 that they came out 2 under on and your second shot has just made the turn.

I'm the product of a border town so I am as familiar with Canadian as I am with American. T. Hip have been a huge part of my life. One of the dozen times I've seen them was at the Aud in Roch. Someone threw a bra on stage. He hunches like an ape goes over to pick it up and give it a sniff. I loved every minute of every show. I will feel lost in a world with no Gord Downey.

Good call. Will Smith is one talented tenacious dude, just like Gaustad....

Preds. And Gaustad will have the game winning goal...

I was going to post this in the complaint thread but the person I'm posting about was awesome so I'm doing it here. My favorite old timer ironworker passed away yesterday. Mid 60's. He was a marine that served 3 tours in Vietnam. The last one was voluntary. 30+ years as an ironworker. My mentor and good friend. The 20 years that separated us made us brothers no less. He was fearless and kind. Dedicated and loose. We partied our balls off. As I watch the setting sun I'm reminded of a story that sums up for me the sort of man he was when I knew him. I had heard of this man from India that claimed to have not eaten a bite of food in 11 years. He existed on tea and by staring at the rising sun everyday. I had told Doug about this guy when we were partying one night. The next morning at work he and I(we worked as partners a lot) got up on the two story structure we were erecting. We both lower our dark glasses and stare at the rising sun. The crane has a hunk of iron waiting overhead for us to connect but we are silent and staring. The foreman is loosing his mind screaming at us and Doug looks down at him and shouts back "shut the F up! Can't you see we're getting our nourishment!" God bless you, Dougie. Heaven has gained a hero.

I miss Lindy's snarling grimace after his team scores.
-
"That's called a Suicide Pass...". No, dude, he just didn't see him coming.
-
Cooper looked like he smelled a really bad fart after the goal.
-
Wow. Blues are rolling and Edmunson pulls a Weber. He wears 6 as well...

I'd love to see Tampa advance. Just because.
-
Brooklyn and Tampa are at each other's throats. This has been some good hockey. End of 2. Tied 2-2 with the series at 1-1. Great second period. Love it.

Seems like there's far too much opinion involved for ROY to be something any player should feel honored or snubbed about. If I were Eichel(or he were me) I would be far too concerned about my own personal goals for the summer to even have the energy to pay attention to all the nonsense. Is that a proper thing to say? I've never been a fan of any hockey award besides the Stanley and the Calder.

I'm better now. I had a waaaambuger, cries and several beers hold the tears. "A little dose of home fries got him all smoothed out..." T.Hip. Maybe it's hair if the dog but holy bajesus all the Duuuh I've encountered today got to me. I really hate that too. Kinda makes me feel like stupid won.

Suuuuuuper frustrating day. All I really want to do is play some Limp Bizkit neighbor annoyingly loud and go around the house and break sh!t. It's my stuff though and I'd have to fix it, leading to more frustration. I need a waaaambulance.

I read that same piece. I was happy for him when they gave him the A. I love watching these guys develop(or flop). That's one of the reasons I like AHL so much. I haven't seen many 7th rounders come as far in only two years as he has. I think he is as able to handle the NHL as Pysyk or McCabe. That doesn't mean I think he's ready. I think the key to the Sabres future lies in these developmental guys. Cheap to buy and cheap to keep.

Neuvirth has been been making some nice saves. Looking steady. Too bad he's a Flyer.

I like how Oshie starts the game. F those Flyers.
