  1. I see you're quoting the North Carolina governor who is losing the popular vote. "McCrory's campaign has alleged widespread voter fraud altered the results of the election, claiming that dead people, felons and people who voted in other states cast ballots in the race."
  2. (CNN)Hillary Clinton's campaign is being urged by a number of top computer scientists to call for a recount of vote totals in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, according to a source with knowledge of the request. The computer scientists believe they have found evidence that vote totals in the three states could have been manipulated or hacked and presented their findings to top Clinton aides on a call last Thursday. The scientists, among them J. Alex Halderman, the director of the University of Michigan Center for Computer Security and Society, told the Clinton campaign they believe there is a questionable trend of Clinton performing worse in counties that relied on electronic voting machines compared to paper ballots and optical scanners, according to the source. The group informed John Podesta, Clinton's campaign chairman, and Marc Elias, the campaign's general counsel, that Clinton received 7% fewer votes in counties that relied on electronic voting machines, which the group said could have been hacked. http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/22/politics/hillary-clinton-challenge-results/index.html
  3. I didn't draw a line. In Pence's case he's supported policies that are discriminatory, which is why I pointed it out. If he has bad policies in other areas he should be held to account for those. And given the voting over the past 3 decades and the changing demographics, it is highly unlikely that a Democrat would win the EC and lose the popular vote. 6 of the last 7 popular votes went the the Democrat, yet we only got a Democrat president 4 times. That's absurd. Today's totals: Clinton 63,776,375 Trump 61,013,709. The lead has increased to 1,762,666 more votes for Clinton. It just keeps increasing. 4. Depends on if Biden supported discriminatory policies. If so, he'd have to own it and expect a push back wherever he went, and decide if he wanted his family to see just how unpopular he was. Today's totals: Clinton 63,649,978 Trump 61,943,670. The lead has increased to 1,706,308 more votes for Clinton. It just keeps increasing. Of course Rush Limbaugh said that includes 2 million votes by illegal aliens for Clinton. The petition argues that Donald Trump is “unfit to serve” and that “Secretary Clinton WON THE POPULAR VOTE and should be President.”
  5. What proof do you have that the results would be completely different? This isn't the 1800's, everyone across the country had plenty of access to see the candidates, their policies, and their temperaments. You would sign the petition if you believe that 2nd place shouldn't get the gold medal. And that every vote should count, that every voter in New York and Oklahoma should have as much a say as Ohio and Florida. Not just the majority within artificial state lines. The only position that all Americans can vote for should be decided by all Americans.
  6. Martin Luther King would have disagreed with you. 7. You're joking, right. Are you not paying attention? The country is in for a miserable four years. You can either sit on the sidelines or stand up against intolerance.
  8. For Pence to go to a play so soon when tensions are so high and Trump just doubles down with appointments of intolerant supporters, where one of the leads is gay and HIV positive, given Pence's past anti gay stances including supporting conversion therapy and discrimination against the LGBTQ community, what did he expect. Go home to Indiana and see Lil' Abner. Good for the people who are willing to challenge intolerance face to face.
  9. Yes, he said he's a Christian who couldn't recall having to ask God for forgiveness. What do you think of retired Gen. Mike Flynn as National Security Advisor? Here's some of his statements: "In next 24 hours, I dare Arab & Persian world 'leaders' to step up to the plate and declare their Islamic ideology sick and must B healed," Flynn tweeted in July of this year following the terrorist attack in Nice, France. In February, Flynn made waves when he tweeted it was rational to fear Muslims. "Fear of Muslims is RATIONAL: please forward this to others: the truth fears no questions," Flynn said with a link to a video claiming Islamophobia was rational and that Islam wanted 80% of humanity enslaved or exterminated. Days before the election, Flynn tweeted a false story claiming the NYPD had found evidence on Anthony Weiner's laptop "to put Hillary (Clinton) and her crew away for life." In late October, Flynn retweeted a false claim that United Nations Agenda 21, a sustainable development program, would create a one world church where Christianity was prohibited and that choosing nationalism was the only way to stop Clinton. In July, Flynn linked to a tweet that falsely claimed Clinton was "wearing hijab in solidarity with islamic terrorists." The picture was from a 2009 trip Clinton took to Pakistan as secretary of state, in which she donned a head covering during a visit to a mosque as a diplomatic courtesy. http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/18/politics/kfile-flynn-tweets/
  10. But during the campaign Trump said he was innocent and could settle but wouldn't because they were all liars. That's a lot of money for an innocent person to pay a bunch of liars.

  12. Obama wanted to register white Europeans?
  13. I have next week off. My son and his girlfriend are coming home from Boston to Syracuse Wed night, and he and I will be playing hockey 8am Thanksgiving day against the objections of my wife. Then we're all driving to Kenmore for dinner with my 86 year old mom, and my two sisters and brothers-in-law, and cousins.
  14. Listened to a discussion about it last night. The Trump advocate said that it would not be for American citizens, and it wouldn't register Muslims, it would register people that were coming from countries that had terrorist activity by it's citizens. The person against it pointed out that of the list of countries the Trump administration was considering, 24 of the 25 on the list were majority Muslim countries. The 25th was North Korea. They asked why France wasn't on the list, since there were French nationalist terrorists. Bottom line, the Trump administration would get around the religious issue by naming countries, not religion.
  15. As I've said, as a straight white man the biggest issues that might affect me are my 401k getting screwed and getting nuked. But for all the "others", it's not only the possible revisionist policies that Trump has proposed and his supporters want, it's the tone of his campaign and the unfiltered anti-"other" rhetoric and empowerment that his supporters have displayed around the country that has the "others" rightly concerned. For them it's not an overreaction, but a defense mechanism. And it only gets reinforced as some of Trump's appointments are made: Bannon, Sessions, and Flynn to start.
  16. I'd be fine with that. Many of the red states who don't like federal intervention, especially in the South, receive more federal funds than they pay in taxes.
  17. That may be true for all the NBA teams for the next 4 years, if Gregg Popovich is any reflection of how the coaches and players feel about the election. "I'm still sick to my stomach, and not basically because the Republicans won or anything, but the disgusting tenor, tone and all the comments that have been xenophobic, homophobic, racist, misogynistic," he said before the Spurs' home game against the Detroit Pistons. "And I live in that country where half the people ignored all that to elect someone. That's the scariest part of [the] whole thing to me. It's got nothing to do with the environment, Obamacare and all the other stuff. We live in a country that ignored all those values that we would hold our kids accountable for."
  18. Boo, I'd rather have him on the team. They could use a shot of intensity.
