Started working from home this week, and probably will for at least the next three weeks. We’ve had morning Zoom meetings every day so far. Managers say they’re checking how we are but it’s really to make sure we get out of bed and work. I had less hassle and interaction when I went to work.

For now for O it’s ROR, but hopefully someday it will be VO. For P is there any debate? Gilbert Perreault followed by Mike Peca. No Q. R is tough; Rene Robert, Craig Ramsay, or Mike Ramsay? I probably would lean to Robert. A case could be made for each.

LaFontaine is pretty obvious, but I wax nostalgic for Luce. M is tough; Rick Martin or Alexander Mogilny? I give the edge to Martin because it was a more physical era when players could take more liberties, and again the 70s were my childhood.

Agree on Calle Johansson. For K I give the nod to one of my childhood favorites, Jerry Korab, over Uwe Krupp.

I think he’ll improve with time in the AHL. It was a mistake to rush him into the NHL, but it might have been a demand of his to get him to sign. He’s still young and needs to put some muscle on. I think it’s too early to move him unless they got a proven veteran in return. By next season hopefully he can center the 3rd line. It will be interesting to see how they handle Cozens; will he get some time in the AHL to learn the pro game.

McD skates by players, Eichel can skate within a small area and keep the puck away with his stickhandling, and can make more precise passes.

McD has Dreisadel to work with, Eichel has to generate most of his goals on his own. McD does it with his speed, but Jack has better hands.

Skinner looked like he was struggling to skate right from the face off, and then the hit finished him off.

Some reports say he actually had the flu. I suspect he saw Hutton was starting and figured why waste his energy.

My first memory of the Aud is from the ‘60s when my dad took me to see wrestling. My favorite match was the midget tag teams. And back then people could smoke inside, so there was this cloud of smoke hanging in the air since there was no AC.

I don’t think the comparison with the Bills doing things right is valid. The Bills aren’t as good as their record and have benefited from a schedule of bad teams. I never liked the emphasis of drafting all the high defensive picks at the expense of the offense, and passing on drafting Mahones or Watson when QB was a clear priority. And the fact football players don’t have guaranteed contracts but hockey players do makes a difference in cutting players. Having said that, the breaking point for me with Botts was when he recently said they need all those defensemen for depth. At this point depth on D does no good when the forwards can’t score.
