I don’t think it’s a whiff to acquire a prospect who shows skills to that point. McNabb wasn’t even a regular in the lineup. The Sabres had a need for a power forward.

To be fair Fasching looked like a great power forward prospect in college, a Vanek type of scorer. But he couldn’t make the transition to the pros.

So you equate an attempt to injure with an extra player skating to the bench. 🙄

The extra players were at center ice and had no impact on the play. Technically a penalty but practically they didn’t make a difference.

You could see he lost a skate edge when he got pushed. When that happens at that speed you can’t control your direction.

BS call on Tampa, he clearly got shoved into goalie.

Again, don’t hate a team for being smart enough to know the rules. I wish the Sabres were run as well as Tampa has been for the past decade. Many of their players were seasoned in Syracuse.

Tampa didn’t cheat, they used the rules available for maximum benefit. I’d be upset if the Sabres were in the same position and didn’t do it. Blame the owners and NHLPA who agreed to such rules. I’ll be rooting for Tampa to beat Vegas in the finals.

Frank’s Sunny Italy in Buffalo. Big portions and everything’s good. I like Dinosaur BBQ in Syracuse, but it’s hard to get in to, and then your on top of each other inside, and service is sometimes slow. The Rochester location near the arena was more comfortable. For franchise restaurants it’s Texas Roadhouse. Best chili I’ve ever had.

Well 2 of the 3 teams I can’t stand lost; Edmonton and Toronto. Now we need Boston to lose.
