They go with the understanding that they’re going to help the team, it’s not a punishment. They know they were designated to be allowed to go back. And they are not losing hundreds of thousands of dollars in two weeks. Power wasn’t signed when they had to make the designation of who could go back down.

The issue isn’t that he’s bad, the issue is that he, Fitzgerald, and Krebs could help the Amerks make the playoffs. The Sabres aren’t going anywhere. They could extend their and other prospects season by weeks in the AHL.

The Amerks were in 2nd place earlier in the season. Then they got hurt with callups to the Sabres and injuries. But the Sabres now have 9 healthy defensemen and still won’t send the Amerks any help. No excuse for that.

Unless they have a dramatic finish it looks like the Amerks will miss the playoffs. They only had to finish in the top 5 out of 7 teams. The organization talked about wanting to get their young players playoff experience, but then didn’t send down the eligible young players that could have got them there. Another missed opportunity while the Sabres have plenty of healthy veterans sitting.

You think Mitts is a good center? He’s slow and easily gets knocked off the puck. I cringe when he plays in OT. Krebs is faster and more physical. So yes, Krebs is younger, has more potential, and can replace the minimal contribution Mitts makes.

Ever hear of Jack Quinn and JJ Peterka? And if you say they’re not centers, Krebs can play 3rd line center next season.

KA needs to shop Mittlestat during the summer to see what he can get. He’s more of a liability than an asset, and his spot can be filled by a younger player with more potential.

The Sabres now have 9 healthy defensemen. It’s time for KA to send Samuelsson, Fitzgerald, and Krebs to Rochester by Wednesday to help them make the playoffs. They’re not going to make it without reinforcements.

Granato has to stop putting Mittlestat out in OT. He’s neither fast or strong enough to maintain puck possession.

His best season was 20 goals and 44 points. That’s not living up to expectations for a top 10 pick. I’m not blaming him for his illness, but he clearly didn’t deliver on his potential.

I see Mitts as another Cody Hodgson; potential skill that will never live up to expectations. Include him in a package for a veteran defenseman who can pair with and mentor Power.

Both can be true. There could be people who think they could do a better job with the team and want to buy it, but the Pegulas don’t want to sell. And I concur about the seats. The last game I went to I got seats in the top row so I could stand because at 6’3” my legs get crushed trying to fit them in. Plus they’re not as wide as movie theater seats either.
