Asplund shouldn’t be sitting out games unless he’s injured. Nor should Vinny. Donnie has to figure out the rotation and KA needs to make roster moves accordingly.

First goal was a fluke. I thought we had prolonged stretches of dominate hockey but we just couldn’t make it happen. Seems like there’s some disagreement about our play but I think we outplayed them. I know others disagree (the polls say as much) but I would be happy with 84 points this season.

For whatever the reason I often times think back to our first home ice game against the Thrashers when the goalie is pulled. We had a 4-1 lead with fourish minutes left and Atlanta pulled the goalie. Ended up being a 4-3 game but I’ll always remember “***** it lets leave the net empty and see what happens.” It was a joke based on a misspelling. I agree with paragraph two and three. Let’s win some games.

@LGR4GM you laughed at my post and I would like to know why. Almost year in and year out in the NHL we see coaches brought in for rebuilding teams that don’t get them over the hump. Everything this franchise has done signals Peca has a significant role in the future of the organization. Probably won’t be him. Probably should be someone with experience. But don’t act like it’s not something that’s seen every year. None of what I said was a shot at meatballs. It’s a statement on how NHL teams operate.

Granato won’t be the coach to lead us to the promised land. We just need him to get the team to both believe in themselves and have a record that reflects said belief. Someone else is going to take us over the hump (Mike Peca???)

Rob Ray is an ass and it’s embarrassing that he’s employed by the franchise. Right? If we’re going to suck we should at least look forward to drafting Bedard.

I only caught the first but there was about maybe a five minutes period during the SN broadcast where the announcer feed cut out and it was just rink sound. Would be great to have that as a broadcast option.
