  1. Why? Vinegar based sauce sucks. Charleston has a few good spots. Haven’t been impressed with Nashville. There wasn’t anywhere too special in NC in my experience either.
  2. Sam Reinhart was great in front of the net and half the board hated him because he would sometimes fall down
  3. I just go to Fat Bobs. I thought Brickyard burned down?
  4. It shouldn’t be a big deal to lose 15 games of NHL experience.
  5. How long of a leash should Donnie have? This can’t be a lost season.
  6. Isn’t this a significant portion of his game even when he is performing?
  7. Like I said game 1, we don’t know how/when we can cheat and get away with it
  8. As far as I’ve seen, we’ve basically been rolling lines to the best of our ability. The spread isn’t surprising.
  9. Some thoughts: -VO isn’t the problem, I’m not sure why his name appears so much in the GDT -Cozens looks bad and the numbers support it -Bringing back Okposo and Girgs looks as bad as expected -Clifton might not know how to play defense at all -The line of Benson-Greenway-Mitts was easily our best line again -Levi looked strong for most of the game. He can still use some work on his rebounds, but if our D were better it would be less of a concern -Don Granato isn’t getting enough out of his players -Refs aren’t why we are 0-2 and officiating is no excuse for our poor start
  10. The players who played well in the first game are playing well again. The same can be said for the rest.
  11. Hopefully the importance of the first goal isn’t lost on DG and he sends the boys out guns blazing
  12. The third line was our best line anyway. VO also wasn’t the problem with our second line.
  13. I’ve hated the Islanders ever since they ruined Denis Hamel’s knee. Yashin was also a bum. Blow ‘em out, boys!
  14. I thought the third line was pretty easily our best. Krebs needs new line mates and more ice time. Benson looked good, but needs to get stronger. Wonder if he’s sent down to muscle up and Krebs takes his place. First line was a major disappointment all around. I liked VO tonight and thought the second line played pretty well. JJ looked much bigger, he’s going to have a great year. Dahlin was sharp and looked every bit of his contract. Joki and Power could have been better, especially on the second goal. There were a few instances once we were down I thought OP should have pinched a bit more and taken a chance, but instead Rags left the zone. Better to be conservative I guess. EJ was sound. If he can just be steady like tonight I’d be happy. Clifton was fun to watch, but I’m not sure he was the strongest positionally. Much like the pinball, he was all over the place. Sammy looked like a year older version of him. He’s still not going to be his best until he’s stronger and meaner. Levi was fine tonight. He could definitely park on kicking out his rebounds a bit more and locating puck position he’d be able to bail out his D a bit more. He recovers very well, but also has a tendency to look a little lost at time. That will probably fade in time, and as a result some of the fun scrambling saves will disappear. Who knows how long that takes though. The biggest issue tonight was the lack of adjustments. Our players seemed to spend too much time early on trying to make fancy plays to beat the worlds best goalie, when they should have been driving the middle and working to get second and third chances. Until we are better than our opponents, we aren’t going to be able to overmatch every team with our game. We need to make changes and that comes from behind the bench. We were in this game after the first, but we spent too much time spinning our tires into the second that once we were down 3-0 there was no coming back. On to another elite goaltender with a team playing a suffocating transition game. Time to shine, Donny!
  15. I wonder how long Benson is going to get run for
