  1. Super pumped for this one now that we’ve loaded up the roster
  2. I forgot Krebs. I actually like him a lot but if KA does too he’s gotta get Granato on board.
  3. Kevyn is going to make a pair of really solid FA signings to fill our bottom two centers. The deals are all but signed. This is called foresight and I’m happy Kevyn’s thinking ahead. Classic chess players mind.
  4. He’s literally getting panned for the move he just made in another thread.
  5. I don’t get it or like it. You’re absolutely right that Casey will thrive in CO. Unless we move out a big name LHD I don’t really understand it.
  6. I’m going to patiently wait to see what our other piece is.
  7. If it’s 1-1 it’s a big gamble. I don’t see why we need a #3 LHD.
  8. I really liked Bryam but he’s hasn’t really found his game. I don’t see what he brings that we don’t already have, but he’s another guy who can push for a 3-4 slot. I think he’s probably a 4-5 guy at the end of the day but the potential is there. Casey is better and right now Colorado wins the trade if nothing is added.
  9. I want a defensive defenseman that’s a defensive defenseman because he plays defensive defense, not because he’s repurposing himself to stay in the league longer. No hanging buts.
  10. I don’t think he has had any positive impact on the organization. There’s no real difference now compared to seven years ago. Most of his tenure the locker room has been in shambles. I think without his injury the tune would be much different around here. It’s commendable he came back, but he’s never for a day been worth his contract and if he’s here for his intangibles maybe he shouldn’t be. “Teaching young guys how to be pros” when we’ve got guys slamming sticks, looking to the sky, and barely competing. Our best talents have grown discontent and left. I don’t get it with KO.
  11. I’m doing the best I can
  12. @Buffalonill@Sabres Fan in NS for the last question you both said yes. Do you know Grantato’s job is in jeopardy now or that if the bottom completely falls out that it would be in jeopardy?
  13. Jeff Skinner caught a stray vote from me for this very reason
  14. See poll and discuss
  15. He’s gotta be getting tired of it already, right?
  16. It’s my baby boy’s first birthday today!
  17. Yeah it’s a bit of a catch-22. If Tanev was willing to come here over a contender, he’d lose a large part of what we need in players which is that burning desire to win a cup. Maybe Dallas wins one this Spring and he signs in the off-season.
  18. And it’s never had any success. Anyway, I followed the rest of the conversation and agree this is largely JBott’s team. I think thats also an indictment of Botterill’s work.
  19. I’m sure many people here disagree but the tank has absolutely zero bearing whatsoever on this team. Every team in the league has made the playoffs since 2017 except for one. A second hot take, if Tim Murray was given five years he would have had us in the playoffs. More than anything the thing that has set us back so much was replacing Tim Murray and his hockey ideology with J-Botts who has an ideology on the opposite end of the spectrum. The fact that Bottrill was an awful GM is less impactful than that he wanted to completely rebuild the team in another direction.
  20. The market is way over-saturated, it’s a terrible time to get into the industry.
  21. I’ve seen this a lot and it’s recently got me thinking that maybe it isnt that he’s a great development coach, maybe that’s just where his tactics and approach have the most success. To me there’s a difference between a coach who develops players very effectively and gets more/see more in them than other coaches, and a coach who maybe is a great coach for the teenage level but can’t make the jump. I think that’s probably part of the reason he never had much of a shot before us at the top gig. I think we’re seeing the Peter Principle in real time and once again we were the suckers.
