He’s way offside

We suck at challenges. Feel like I know where this is going.

I never claimed I had an A game every night, only that I’ve been around competitive sports enough to understand them. I get Stamkos said the NHL is an 80% league, but the Sabres haven’t earned that right. They don’t consistently play a winning game. It’s easy to go in front of the net every game, you just skate in front of the net. It’s easy to block shots, you just skate in front of the shooting lane. It’s easy to go hard into the corners, you just skate hard into the corners. These are basic things that hockey teams revert back to from the lowest level to the highest and we haven’t be able to do those things consistently for years. Sometimes you’ll make mistakes doing those things. So what? You still have to do them. Guys on the Sabres don’t want to do that. Either because it’s not their game and they think they’re too good for it, they’re scared, or they don’t understand simple hockey fundamentals. It’s a problem either way. Ruff essentially said they’re too forgetful. Someone’s gotta figure out how to do their job with consistency.

I always find it interesting to see whether people consider something an initialisms or an abbreviation. There’s something to be determined from which you use, but I’m not sure what. For the record, I read your “MW” as must win and then had to reread it to appreciate it as “Em Double-Yew.” We better ***** win this one. Go Sabres.

I played hockey through college and coached ten seasons of baseball, I think I understand competitive sports. I block shots at 10PM beer league on a Tuesday night because I’m a hockey player. What’s the excuse for the Sabres?

Until this team treats every game like it’s life or death they are going to continue to sputter. Every game needs to be game 7. It doesn’t matter if you’re burned out in the playoffs unless you make the playoffs first. It’s really not asking for much of anything.

When I was playing club I had three straight skates taking a pick to the nuts. Thankfully my jock did its job, but it certainly doesn’t feel good still. It blows my mind that there’s guys skating with no cups on.

I don’t understand why people need to get all ***** fancy with Thanksgiving dinners. Make the classics and make them well. Instead of figuring out how you can add a bunch of stupid ***** to a dish or try to shuffle making 5 sides, just do the minimum number to the maximum ability. People ask me what I do to make good meals. It’s super easy. I try hard. Don’t overthink it. Needless to say I’ll be going back to hosting next year.

There’s moves I’d like to make, but Trouba and Kreider aren’t on the list.
