Im fully willing to admit Im not happy Okposo won a cup. He is symbolic of everything that’s been wrong with this franchise. From his bust of a big money contract to his inability to contribute when we needed him most. Great that Florida needed a guy on their team to give big speeches. The Sabres needed a skilled hockey player.

I don’t think Ted Leonsis gives two shits if the Caps win another game during Ovi’s career. Everything they do will be to get him the record. PLD has probably the highest potential of anyone available to help him get there. If he sucks, he sucks. Washington is ready for a long winter as soon as Ovi is #1.

If it weren’t for the fact Okposo gets his name on the Cup, I’d be thrilled for Florida to win. Not many players on that team I don’t like outside out Cousins and KO. I’ll be happy for Reinhart, Bob, Barkov, and Tkachuk in particular.

It really depends on the night with them imo. You'll see some mic swinging one way or the other, but they (read: Adam) don’t always sound that good. Im sure there’s some other TBS fans on here. Someone used to have a The Story So Far icon, I’d bet they’re one, too.

No hockey professional should be using familiar names on any broadcast. Be a professional and say his name. These guys deserve it.

Being a season ticket holder is a lifelong dream. I left the area at 18, having gone to ~100 games with my dad as a kid. I always swore if I moved back to the area, getting tickets would be the first thing I did. I even joined the waiting list not knowing if I’d ever return. Well, 14 years later I’m back home. I saw this and instinctively clicked the link for info. I just can’t do it. I won’t give them a cent until they’ve given me something in return other than agita.

I would love to be that frustrated again.

I often wonder how many professional athletes truly love their sport and for how many is it a life opportunity. There is undoubtedly more simply earning a paycheck than imagined.

I think he’s going to be a monster when we have a real power play system. Hopefully this is just the start.

I’d rather package our first with one or more of our young players and prospects to get someone better than anyone on that list. Whoever gets the best player in the present almost always wins the trade. I don’t give any about how much it could potentially hurt our team in five years from now. We are losers now, it’s not like we can be downgraded to super losers. We’d have hit that status years ago.
