Marty played 72 games in 01-02 in front of a bad Sabres team with a .915 GAA. His highest GSAA is higher than UPLs highest GSAA and he has multiple seasons of a solid starters workload. I don’t think it’s selective memory at all.

This is exactly my point. Going into this season for this season alone, would you prefer Marty and his consistently top 30 play or do you want to roll the dice with UPL who doesn’t have the track record as of yet.

Marty’s best season and his early career pedigree are both higher than anything UPL has done. Marty never got the respect he deserved.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately and don’t know where to put it so why not here. At this point, would you trade UPL for peak Marty Biron? I think I would, but won’t be surprised if the answered changed by EOY.

If the Sabres are playing well for an extended period of time, there will be more Sabres talk. Coverage won’t go back to how it was in the aughts as long as the Bills are good.

Back in 2014 I was supposed to go to Tajikistan for 3 months before deploying to Afghanistan. Two weeks before I was supposed to leave, my seat to Tajikistan was pulled. That trip to Tajikistan was to pay to climb Kilimanjaro. Still on my list, don’t know when I’ll ever get to it now.

It’s for sure possible. Flying to NYC is probably the easiest flight out of Buffalo, and our airport is very convenient for getting in and out of. Business Class Delta would be plenty fine for him. It’s just a question of how much time is he actually willing to give up for it. I think best bet he can probably leave his house in Buffalo and be at his apartment in NYC within 3.5 hours.

There’s been a bunch of posts lately with some really high player predictions. Every time I see one, my first thought is “if that happens, we will probably make the playoffs.” So here’s a thread to give your what if.
