So with fubu and fubu free trials I can watch all of the Sabres games with semi-less of a hassle while still being in market?

Interesting that on a very pessimistic board that 75% of Sabres fan think they’ll make the playoffs. Do people actually believe that or are they tired of being negative?

It’s crazy to me that in exchange for moving to Buffalo, I’m having to give up paying $9.99 (or whatever) for ESPN+ to instead stream illegally. Maybe there is a problem with the telecom industry…

It’s been a long time since I drank the kool-aid, I figured it was time to be topped off. I know where we match up on paper, but what about where we match up in our hearts? I say that only semi-sarcastically.

Pretty straightforward question. Yes or no. If you asked me this before noon today, I would have said no. I’ve had a change of heart for no reason whatsoever, and I can now confidently say we will be in as the seven seed with 96 points.

Obviously it’s not the only thing. But this team and organization will tell you they have the talent to make the playoffs. The running line is work ethic was the issue last year. That’s a reflection of leadership. With five great leaders all deserving of letters, this clearly won’t be an issue anymore. So when the company line is work ethic was lacking, leadership is the only missing ingredient that matters. It’s a reflection of either a lack of seriousness from the organization, a worry about hurting feelings, or marketing that the issue is fixed.

Rotating As is silly. Especially on a team that hasn’t had any success in over a decade. If this team is so teeming with leadership they can’t narrow their letters down to 3, they should be able to walk into the playoffs.

Geez, my reading comprehension has gone to *****. My own take is that at the end of the day the most of the players are young men who want to be/are having fun. We’ve lost a lot of that in sports. Less so in hockey, but still apparent.

Yes, this would never happen at an ice rink!

All I hope is that Levi gets the Saturday game and then is sent back down once in the States.

I posit that if any of the listed Sabres were future hall of famers, we would have made the playoffs either of the last two years. The fact those teams made a jump is due to the exceptionally high quality of their offensive talent. We may have very, very high-end forwards on our team, but so do those other teams. The difference is they are in support of future hall of famers.

I appreciate the analysis, but one thing that’s missing is it wouldn’t be a surprise if any of the bolded players made the hall of fame. I wouldn’t say that about any of our guys yet.

This will be my wife’s first winter in Buffalo. So far, the weather has been significantly better than she ever expected. This all has me fearing a significant lake effect storm late fall, but I’m optimistic about an easy winter for her sake.

My skate tonight isn’t until 10:30. In another life that wouldn’t have been bad, but I’ve been up since four with my son and am ready for bed.

I haven’t played on a ton of hockey teams, nor have I played in the NHL, but I don’t know of any hockey player who looks at on-ice pushups as a punishment. It’s a corrective action only in that it looks like one. Skate ‘em hard, and none of this wall to wall stuff.

Every time I see the thread title my mind jumps to “I noticed you noticing me. And I just wanted to put you on notice that I noticed you too.”

I had a cough at 29 that put my back out for three days. Couldn’t even get off the floor when it happened, had to call a buddy for help.
