This really answers nothing.

This is the exact thing I had in mine as well, different linemates though (and while I have Z taking center responsibility, I have Grigs taking draws). I take it we have different expectations of what we see Zemgus becoming.
-
Thanks, man. I know it's not ideal to start a lot of rookie centers, but we're already pretty poor in the dot, so it's not going to get worse there. I really think that we've got wingers on this team that suite our centers really well. Just for reference, Eichel won 51.4% of his draws this year compared to 44.2%. That's a substantial drop, granted Eichel was playing at a lower level. I don't foresee Girgensons going too much longer as a centerman.

I would like to see Buffalo roll four lines in the near future, so in this instance, I'm going to be using the third line as the "shut down" line, who will be primarily taking the face offs in our own zone. With that being said, I'm not going to do total lines, just key players I would like to see play together. "First line," I'd like to see Eichel/Ennis. My reasoning for this is Eichel seems more physical than Reinhart and will be able to create space and opportunity for Ennis. "Line two," I want to see Reinhart/Kane, essentially for the same reasoning only flipped. Kane is a tough, power forward who can score 30 or more goals. I think giving Reinhart a smart scorer to start the year will do wonders for his development and with a scoring threat like Kane, he'll have a lot of time to play his game. "Line three," I would have Grigorenko taking the draws with Girgensons having center duties. While this season their FO% is similar, historically, Grigs has been better at draws. I think Girgs would be a huge motivator of Grigs and help him develop confidence. "Line four" obviously falls to Larson who I would like to see paired with Deslauries. http://espn.go.com/nhl/team/roster/_/name/buf/buffalo-sabres Reinhart- Right Eichel- Right McDavid- Left

Casey Bailey, Matt O'connor. Any other college free agents?

When is the soonest we could see Matt O'Connor signing somewhere? Is he eligible right after tonight's game? -
I wouldn't care too much if we lost and either the Leafs, Avalanche, or Blue Jackets won it. I think an Eichel/McDavid rivalry would be awesome for 10+ years with the Leafs. CBJ already has the team around them for McDavid to be a superstar his first year, which would be fun to watch. The Avalanche had Joe Sakic, who is my all-time favorite player, and I wouldn't mind seeing them do well. Anyone else, and I would be a little bummed out but over it pretty quickly.

It's a great day to be alive! -
Signed up, same name. Good luck, everyone!

Has anyone ever played at the Northtowns (pepsi) Center during the day? I plan on going tomorrow for open scrimmage at 12, just wanted to see how it is.
-
So far so good for the Jays. Who doesn't love seeing the Yankees get a little roughed up?
-
You're right, Tampa lost twice, but since you could only move up four at the time, picked first.

Nationals don't play until tomorrow afternoon. All you're missing tonight is the Cardinals beating the Cubs right now.

No way that the O's only win 78 and no way they come in last. I think Boston is overrated and Bluejays are overrated. The AL East has flipped now in my mind and it's yours to take!

I posted something about that about a month ago, I'll see if I can find that link again. Edit: Here's the link to the article, it's only happened once that the same team lost the lottery two years in a row (though they still picked first) http://www2.tsn.ca/draftcentre/feature/?id=18342

They had quite the crowd a few nights ago. I want to say 46,000 or so. That's really impressive for an exhibition game. I'm in the same boat as you with Harper. I've been a lifelong fan of baseball, but until Harper came around I never really had a team, I'd just watch any game I could. I decided whoever drafted him would be my team. Since then, I've been to about 8 Nats games and a pair of playoff games last year. I'm hoping the Cubbies put together a solid season too, they've suffered long enough.

After many long months, professional baseball begins at the highest level tonight as the Cubs face off against the Cardinals. Any baseball fans going to be watching the season kick off today and tomorrow? Go Nationals!
-
I'm not too sure about that first statement. I've interacted with plenty of highly knowledgable Coyotes fans and they very much know what's going on. If you think that because they are in Arizona they don't have smart fans, you're mistaken. I'd be willing to wager that the fans attending Coyotes games now are more knowledgable of hockey and their team than those attending Sabres games right now.
