  1. I've got a pretty full outfield so I didn't pick him up, but I recommended him to some of our teams who weren't doing very well. I had a feeling he would come out blazing and since he has, I'd try to get as much from him in a trade. I'm not sure if you're in a keeper or a redraft league, but if it's keeper, there's a lot better youth options struggling you could move him for.
  2. I didn't know too much about either of those guys, so I just looked them both up and that seems like too little for the pair of them. Maybe that's where one of eiter Bailey or Bapitse could come into play.
  3. If I'm NYR, I'm all over that deal. Nash/Tarasenko on the same line probably sounds pretty good to the Blues management, but that's a lot to give up.
  4. I think that's probably the safer play, but I really believe Marner has the higher upside than Strome. I went to a few games of that playoff series and Marner really blew me away.
  5. I'm sorry, but if Nolan was a fine coach he wouldn't have so many issues finding and holding down a real job. OHL teams don't even want to hire him, what do you think that says? Also, and this isn't directed at you necessarily, but what makes Nolan so "admirable?" I've seen that sentiment before and I've never understood it. Between the rumors from his first stint and his lack of relationship with GMTM, I don't see how anyone could believe Nolan was some great guy.
  6. Harrington more than likely did not write it.
  7. Editors write headlines.
  8. Here's the story on NBC Sports...http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2015/05/10/report-auston-matthews-signs-in-swiss-league/
  9. Auston Matthews has allegedly signed to play with the ZSC Lions of the Swiss Hockey League.
  10. I'm going to savor first place for the next 12 hours, since by tomorrow I'll be out of contention.
  11. We've got essentially the same players, but not top ten. I don't take Crosby at one just because of longevity issues and his history of concussions. That's not saying I don't think he's the best player, just not first pick. 1.) Ovi 2.) Stamkos 3.) Tavares 4.) Crosby 5.) Toews 6.) Weber 7.) Getzlaf 8.) Malkin 9.) Doughty 10.) Kopitar
  12. Come play with me! I play Sunday and Wednesday through http://anytimehockey.com/skater-game-finder/. Just not next week because I'll be out of town.
  13. I was looking at some different brackets and just noticed that Eleven and I have the same exact bracket going forward, the only difference is he Price Is Righted me on total goals in the final. EDIT: I lied, he had Vancouver over Anaheim for the next round.
  14. Personally if the only retired numbers were Gil's and Dom's I'd be perfectly fine with it. If you ask me, Horton and LaFontaine being retired here is pretty silly. Gare is a toss up for me, and I understand the rest of the FC being retired.
  15. I can hear it now: "...and pops home the rebound!"
  16. The Panthers have been notified that Zach Hyman (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=75045) won't be signing with them. Average sized center with a right hand shot. Was pretty solid last year at Michigan.
  17. If anyone is wondering why 99 is retired, look up the great Wilf Paiement. The NHL decided that his four seasons wearing the number were so impressive, nobody should ever be allowed to wear it.
  18. It would be the perfect time to take that down from the rafters then!
  19. I just feel like he's undersized and closer to Ennis in terms of play than he is Kane. I think the appeal of Kane was his physical game and also why we swapped Myers and Bogosian. Nichushkin is a RW who comes to mind as a Murray type player. Large, physical, and can score. I doubt the Stars would consider trading him, but they do need help defensively and he's coming off injury.
  20. What makes you think Eberle is the type of player Murray would be interested in? I really don't know much about him, other than he's not overly physical and under six foot. Stat wise he seems like someone I'd like on the team and his cap hit isn't awful by any means.
  21. Playing devil's advocate, why would the NHL listen to an OHL team for a court settlement? I'm pretty sure that if the owner of the Otters walked up to Bettman or whomever they would have to talk to and asked them to give Edm McDavid, they would be laughed out of the building.
  22. Somehow I think it's made me more calm about the lottery. Go Three/Four/Nine!
