Justin Bailey texted/called/recalled/homing pigeoned/DMd by the Sabres

I worry that she'll take the brick the wrong way. I think if he went through the window first and then waved the brick in her face while saying how relieved he is she can finally call him, she would understand the message and probably even recall him. -
Even though I'd like to be in the playoffs next year, I think we'll still be a bubble team. If that first was lottery protected then maybe, but even then I'm not sure anymore. A few weeks ago I would have said yes though, with the pick being lottery protected

I would probably throw yourself through her front window, it's much more dramatic and the ladies dig that kind of stuff. -
To both I suppose. I had actually thought I saw Matthews playing wing last year, but I wasn't able to dig up the WJC lines from last year. I agree with pairing Eichel and Matthews if we were fortunate enough to get him though. Then Matthews can have a season like Panarin is having this year.

Has anyone here said otherwise?

Arizona's 1st (Laine) and OEL for our 1st (Matthews) and McCabe? I'm fine with that, but I'm high on OEL and I think the difference between Matthews and Laine will be bigger than most here.

Last year's team is the only team this year's team should be compared to because, well, it's the best way of showing their improvement. You are right, we were historically bad this year and it takes time to improve upon that. If our record were six points better but our numbers are in a similar to last year, are we any better of a team or is the league worse? We should be measuring our play to that of last year to see the areas we've improved and where we still have to get better. I've seen this said several times. What should we be comparing the team to? If you compare it to other rebuilds we're doing pretty good and fitting a timetable. You said it yourself, you expected to finish with around 80 points and be around 20th. Why does it matter if 80 points gets you last place if you improved 26 points? Compare this year's team to last year's team and our rebuild to the successful rebuilds we've been modeling. We're improving. We were the worst team ever last year and now we're a bad NHL team. Next year we'll be a bubble team and then we'll be a playoff team. Standings don't matter this year, improving every aspect of our team does (which the stats pretty much say we have).

I'm hearing that his lack of a system played a direct role in not being renewed

Bryce Harper and Auston Matthews' circumstances couldn't be further apart. Harper got his GED early so he could play college ball early and be eligible for the MLB draft sooner

What an awful, awful play

Who do you think picks up his hookers and blow when he's at practice?
-
I hope all of the bottom teams win, us included. Everyone else can suck again next year, but the more points we can get while finishing low the better
-
Is this title really any better? This comes up all the time, why can't we just have short, concise titles? "Sabres considering extending McGinn" works a whole lot better than "Good!!!" or "Good news about McJamie."

Turns out I lied. I could have sworn I read that he was coming off of injury for try-outs, but I just searched as hard as I was willing to and was unable to find any info
-
He was coming off of injury for the WJC, I would dismiss it if I were you. Gotta take the best players available at the time of the tourney

This makes it clear how bad Yeichel is too

Send a few extras out in my name. I thought about getting a twitter today just for the cause. As someone who struggles with mental health issues, whether they are obligated to do this or not makes no difference to me, the fact is that they are raising awareness to a serious problem.

I wish he were. Aside from Eichel, ROR, and Risto, there isn't anything I wouldn't give up for him. I'm not sure what it is about Galchenyuck, but out of every player in the league who isn't a Sabre, there isn't a player who I would rather tear up the league than him. Once Montreal figures out how to use him better, I think he's going to a cornerstone of both the Canadiens and Team USA.

He still has another year in the WHL before headed to the AHL, right?

Terry Pegula - Rally the Owners to change the challenge rule

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/video/insider-trading-do-coaches-like-the-challenge~795636Is there any way one of our Canadian members can give a quick recap of this video? It's blocked for me in the states -
Neither of the bolded will be NHL ready next season. Laine, Matthews, and Poolparty are the only three likely to make the jump

No goal! Back on track before the break

Why the is Gionta out there???
