Thank you It's been one of my favorite videos for years. I say his ambiance and decor line just about any time I go somewhere "fancy" -

Can you give player options in hockey like you can baseball? If he's all about the money maybe he takes a 7 year deal from Buffalo for 10 million with an option to get out after year three, figuring he'll score 50 every year here and will be able to turn three good years now into three extra years at a high pay later. I'd bet someone would pay a 30 year old coming off of some high scoring years another 7 years for big money, maybe even bigger. That would free up cash for us to keep our guys -

Everyone recognizes Bailey as 95. That's the number I look for out there when I hear his name. Not to mention it's up to take someone's number for no reason.- 370 replies

I miss those jerseys   I just watched all three Kane fights for the first time, missed the last one the first go around. He hasn't been player I thought he was going to be, but he's as good as I expected him to be and those were just the icing on the cake- 370 replies

Justin Bailey texted/called/recalled/homing pigeoned/DMd by the Sabres
#freejame replied to Hoss's topic in The Aud Club
I thought we established that Bailey himself probably wasn't called directly. He was probably told up and personally I think the title should reflect that, especially considering all of our title controversy. -
Maybe the Sabres will finally get the agitator they need after trading away Kassian like idiots! /s

First he would have Dr. Andrews give him a bionic arm that was super strong and could throw super fast. Then he would hire some physicist to tell him where to aim the brick on a vertically placed trampoline. After that it's just trial and error, but I'm not sure the girl will want the brick if it's covered in blood. -

I worry that she'll take the brick the wrong way. I think if he went through the window first and then waved the brick in her face while saying how relieved he is she can finally call him, she would understand the message and probably even recall him. -
Even though I'd like to be in the playoffs next year, I think we'll still be a bubble team. If that first was lottery protected then maybe, but even then I'm not sure anymore. A few weeks ago I would have said yes though, with the pick being lottery protected

I would probably throw yourself through her front window, it's much more dramatic and the ladies dig that kind of stuff. -
To both I suppose. I had actually thought I saw Matthews playing wing last year, but I wasn't able to dig up the WJC lines from last year. I agree with pairing Eichel and Matthews if we were fortunate enough to get him though. Then Matthews can have a season like Panarin is having this year.

Has anyone here said otherwise?

Arizona's 1st (Laine) and OEL for our 1st (Matthews) and McCabe? I'm fine with that, but I'm high on OEL and I think the difference between Matthews and Laine will be bigger than most here.

Last year's team is the only team this year's team should be compared to because, well, it's the best way of showing their improvement. You are right, we were historically bad this year and it takes time to improve upon that. If our record were six points better but our numbers are in a similar to last year, are we any better of a team or is the league worse? We should be measuring our play to that of last year to see the areas we've improved and where we still have to get better. I've seen this said several times. What should we be comparing the team to? If you compare it to other rebuilds we're doing pretty good and fitting a timetable. You said it yourself, you expected to finish with around 80 points and be around 20th. Why does it matter if 80 points gets you last place if you improved 26 points? Compare this year's team to last year's team and our rebuild to the successful rebuilds we've been modeling. We're improving. We were the worst team ever last year and now we're a bad NHL team. Next year we'll be a bubble team and then we'll be a playoff team. Standings don't matter this year, improving every aspect of our team does (which the stats pretty much say we have).

Bryce Harper and Auston Matthews' circumstances couldn't be further apart. Harper got his GED early so he could play college ball early and be eligible for the MLB draft sooner
