That whole last thirty seconds guys were paying far too much attention to the clock in a negative way. SOBs lack of effort there was very noticeable and frustrating -

Great play by Pilut there to take away the passing lane. -
Put him on Eichel’s wing and put the E-Rod-Mitts-Reino line back together.

I’m 99% sure he was arrested while playing the bongos high and in the nude. I think that confirms both of your points.

Have I been pronouncing Matthew McConaughey’s name wrong this whole time?
-
Correct me if I’m wrong but was this not also on the penalty kill

I agree he won us games, especially early on, but that doesn’t mean that he hasn’t cost us games since then. A prime example is the first hurricanes game (using this because it’s one of the few distinguishable games since I was there). I wouldn’t disagree with your statement on turnovers either, but I think it’s easy to discern bad goaltending from bad defense most games.

Disarray

Benn also took a run at him, but I more or less agree. That said, Kuznetzov was hit with a cheap shot yesterday by Ian Cole (who promptly got waxed by Tom Wilson) and said after the game “That's huge you know. We know Tom play physical. He's huge for us. When ***** like that happen, he stand up. That's always nice to have a guy like that on the team." Granted having Wilson on the team (and on the ice) didn’t prevent the hit from happening, I think that having someone like that (not just a face-puncher but a guy who can play and get physical) is important for the locker room. I also think that it would give more guys confidence to play harder because if that hard play results in a big hit, they know there will at least be a response from a more capable player.

Do you think Jack would play better if there was anyone on the team to defend him every time he gets ran? Or better put, would Jack play better if other teams knew they’d have to answer if they were to run Jack?

I agree that last night was hardly on Ullmark and the defense was atrocious, but his points still stands. It should have came after a different game, but it is what it is. Agreed. This was by far the worst defensive game of the year for the forwards, and much of the same garbage from the D that we’ve seen most of the year. Anyone else think the bold is a shot at Eichel’s play of late?
-
Definitely agree with this on the trade front, less the O’Reilly deal, but he’s got more than a few late round/college FA that look like they are going to shake out. BU

Sam seems to be getting ***** on in every thread less this one for his comments last night. Not sure what it means, but it means something. I’ve got no problems with them and if Carter Hutton (and to a lesser extent, Linus) want to “smash his face into a wall,” maybe they need to do a bit of self-reflecting.
-
He’s on quite the string of bad performances lately, that’s for sure.
-
Gross. No thank you.

When the announced it I asked how there could be one without any hits. You’d hope they’d find someone for the good guys bumping a Wild at least...
-
Terrible play by bogo there

How the ***** is the carruba collision going to be on a Sabres player? The Sabres quality of broadcast is incredibly frustrating
-
The leafs have been trash the Sabres entire existence. During the most recent Sabres “glory days,” the Leafs were trash and have only recently came back to being relevant. They won’t win a cup with Matthews and then it’ll be back to square one.

The Yankees won 12 World Series in 17 years from 1936-1953...

The peeper is looking good, but those lines don’t do it for me.

He misses the point entirely. People wanted to watch the game, which is why, despite the fact that is was incredibly, incredibly boring, they watched the game. You would think a paid anaylsis would understand exciting things can happen at a moments notice in football, especially in a close game. Not to mention the fact everyone I was with steadily lost interest and went from not using their phones to using their phones to talk to their buddies about how incredibly, incredibly boring the game was. So, arguably, they did stop watching the game, even though it was still on. The only greater waste of time than the Super Bowl is ESPN talking heads.
