I haven’t kept up with Hamonic in a couple years but he was a player I used to want. I *think* he had some family issues that made him want to be closer to western Canada, but he doesn’t have a NTC. Also a right handed shot. Would definitely prefer him to Risto.

Not surprising when you consider Yzerman was the GM. That sounds pretty similar to the old Detroit model.

Couldn’t agree more with this. Does JT Miller play both wing and center or am I thinking of Hayes? A player with that flexibility would be the ideal fit for a 2C stopgap for Mitts, and could then slot down to 3C or 2RW depending on how he’s looking the following season and who the other player we sign this off-season is.

Ralph Krueger to meet the Media Wednesday June 5th 10am

I would think a head coach in football has the ability to dictate the game much more than any other sport. Basketball might be a better example but I would be talking out of my ass if it said so one way or the other. -
I’m pretty much on the “all talking heads are talking out their ass” train after the endless barrage of Skinner updates that lead to nothing but changed statements on old tweets.

Im still of the belief that if Olofsson isn’t playing with Jack that it’s a huge mistake. He’s been playing/learning a more rounded game in NA but I think once he gets on the big stage he’ll be let loose and be a scoring machine.
-
With that said, do you start in him a position to succeed in a top-6 role or is he expected to prove it in the bottom 6? If the first, how long do you think he should be given before being shuffled around?

1. Batman Begins 2. Civil War 3. Ragnarok 4. Dark Knight 5. Winter Soldier 6. Dead Pool 7. GotG 8. Dark Knight Rises 9. Infinity War 10. X-Men its been a long time since I’ve seen the X-Men movies. There’s a chance I would prefer more in there, but Im having trouble remembering them all clearly. Is the first X-Men the one that starts in the concentration camp? -

Which X-Men movie is based off of God Loves, Man Kills? They changed the character of Stryker from a preacher to something else. The comic is phenomenal, but I didn’t like the changes to appease the religious who likely would have been offended. -
I can’t even begin to imagine how ***** playing hockey without being able to open one’s mouth would be. Don’t think I could do it. How would he throw up?

Half of the argument in favor of playing Sam at center is he’s never had solid wingers and then list off a bunch of garbage (granted it’s the only rostered options at the moment). If Eichel is the player many here think he is, he doesn’t need the best players. He need one two-way forward and one shooter (or a player who can play in front of the net). Players like Jack are supposed to help you be able to spread your talent out. Jack+Oloffson/Reinhart+Skinner should, in theory, be greater than Jack+Skinner/Reinhart+Oloffson. Also, if it takes Reinhart four seasons to play center, why would moving Mitts to the wing be indicative of him not being able to play center in three years time?

I’m very disappointed that I couldn’t find a kangaroo court gif with kangaroos

nowhere on this board or in the article does it recommend any of those line mates. Why would you assume he’s centering the fourth line?
-
I don’t disagree with this, but I don’t remember O’Reilly playing the stop and start game as much as Sam does. It’s more the accelerating getting back that concerns me. A good coach can get players to buy into new responsibilities, though, and with the right set of wingers I think he could excel. Hockey is moving away from the traditional responsibilities anyway, but it’s hard to not expect more from centers.
-
The biggest concern I would have with Sam at center is he excels when playing below the slot and I’m not sure his skating is strong enough to cover the defensive responsibilities of a center back-checking.* *not saying he’s bad at back-checking now, just that there would be more onus on him as a center

You’re better than this god-awful meme -
What the hell is applesauce cake?

Just read the article myself. God was that usage terrible. 44% d-zone starts as a fresh center is bone-headed. Im not sure moving him to center is the answer, but if that’s the case they should let Casey develop on his wing and look for a 3C in free agency.

How would you jettison either player? Nobody should be willing to touch Okposo with a ten foot pole.

New Girl is great and there’s seven seasons -
Yeah I’m not sure I understand that at all. Unless they think his year after year after year after year of improvement is a fluke and he’ll suddenly regress to a not $6.5-7m player.
-
For reference, Johnny Gaudreau measured in at 5’6” and is now allegedly 5’9”

I’ve got my last game coaching little league of the season at 7 tonight. We won some games and we lost some games, but I couldn’t tell you what our record was. I had a blast coaching again and this years group of boys was great. I’ll be holding one last scrimmage on Sunday with players for the potential all-star teams, but then I’m finished coaching until hockey season if all goes well. I recommend anyone who has the slightest interest in coaching to take the step and get a team, whether they have a child or not. It can be stressful at times, and it’s definitely a big time commitment, but it’s been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

I’ve got my riot shield in one hand and party popper in the other. I’m ready for all outcomes if that’s the case.
