Hockey players don’t need to know anything about analytics for a coach to deploy an analytically based system. That’s what separates good coaches from the pack.

If Tage (and Casey for that matter) does succeed this year, does it vindicate Botts decision to keep them in the NHL last year? I think it’s likely Botts felt being the best players in the AHL wouldn’t be as beneficial as struggling in the NHL.

Neither Montour or Miller are top pairing D men. Montour is a 3/4 and Miller is 4/5. Joker has a better chance of developing into a 2/3 than either of those two have of providing better defense than Risto at 25 minutes.

I’m not seeing your point in any of this other than, maybe, projecting your feelings towards young people McDavid didn’t give any atypical quotes and was acting like he typically does. He didn’t provide any crazy quotes or sound ungrateful in any way. Im on disability from the military.
