  1. Better wage? Probably Making more? Doubtful
  2. It’s not something that bothers me about RJ, its something that bothers me about the conversation around RJ and Buffalo fans sentiment towards him. It would be akin to Sabres fans saying Gilbert was as good as Gretzky. He hasn’t been good in at least 5+ years and is nearly impossible to follow on the radio. It’s kind of a big deal. If the powers that be want to keep him in the booth then fine, whatever. But at least hire a radio broadcaster so people can follow the team without a television and a replacement will have a great connection to the team when RJ does leave. He just isn’t very good anymore and people are in denial about it.
  3. One thing that’s always bothered me about RJ is Buffalo fans would have you believe he’s Vin Scully, when he really isn’t even close. RJ has always been incredibly polarizing outside of Buffalo and hasn’t aged well, particularly on the radio. Vin Scully was beloved by all and went out on top of his game.
  4. Any line with Reinhart will toss up at least 150 points, so long as they are half competent. As far as diabetes goes, the diabetic I had on my team took off his hardware while on the ice and monitored his levels during intermission.
  5. It used to be eight per division before the realignment, right? And then four per division in your conference and a home and home rotation every year out west?
  6. For the division I believe it is now three and three and conference two and two, but I’ve been wrong before
  7. Not to mention it’s got one of the top five players to ever play hockey at it, and the single greatest Sabre in franchise history. Rob Ray is a douche, you couldn’t pay me to share a meal with him.
  8. Probably where he got his alcoholism from
  9. If Jack Eichel is the player half the board says he is, he will be elite well into his 30s, easily 7+ more seasons after the lockout.
  10. Tkachuk would instantly be my favorite Sabre. Sign me up.
  11. Nope, not even a little bit. I have zero interest in moving Reinhart.
  12. Nope, not offering drugs. But I do know plenty of sources that I’m happy to provide for anyone interested in the topic.
  13. Academic and scientific papers? One of the best selling books this year (a NYT best seller) is on the subject (How to Change Your Mind by Michael Pollen). I’m a little confused why this is being censored. The government has convinced people these drugs are bad for people when in reality it couldn’t be further from the scientific consensus. Feel free to PM me to take this off the board but I would like more of an explanation. I think you may have misinterpreted what I wrote.
  14. Have you ever tried any psychedelics for any of your mental health issues? I’ve had tremendous lasting benefits from psychedelics and there is plenty of evidence out there that shows their benefits. [EDITED TO REMOVE OFFER] if you’re interested. It’s a far cheaper and cleaner alternative to traditional methods of treatment. Either way, good for you for taking care of yourself and feeling better!
  15. No, his contract does not touch the cap playing in the AHL.
  16. I think it’s another instance of JBott “doing what’s right by the player.” I doubt he believed Ellie would file arb or make the NHL roster, but he wanted to give him a salary boost while playing in the AHL. There was an article in the athletic not too long ago about players filing arb typically being moved afterwards. I would suspect this will be the case here.
  17. As far as huge cities go, Toronto is up there in terms of the best. I would take it over Chicago, LA, or NYC any day of the week. I imagine Canada’s disdain of TO is very similar to New Yorkers disdain for NYC.
  18. If we add Gardiner and a 2C for Risto there is no reason to not be a 90+ point team. Gardiner’s contract will probably upset a good bit of people, myself included, but I’ll take anything for the playoffs at this point
  19. I don’t have the exact amount, but right now it’s not too important. We are able to exceed the cap by 10% during the off-season. If Botts wants to lock up McCabe and Ullmark it’s not an issue at this time.
  20. We don’t need to be tough, but we need to be physical and aggressive. However, every player should be tough in the “tough it out” aspect of hockey. That being said, we have plenty of players who have the capacity to do this, some of whom already do this better than others. Reinhart is showing he’s getting the hang of it. Eichel shows it at a high level at times and others not so much, he’s also lacking in the tough it out aspect, injuries notwithstanding. McCabe shows them all. Skinner shows them all. As does Okposo, Larry, Z,. Dahlin shows them, but as an 18 year old in a mans league. He’ll excel at all three in time. I think a lot of it is a growing thing, both personally and physically. It also probably has something to do with learning how to succeed in a role in the NHL.
  21. Genuinely asking—if jbott was going to buy-out Vlad why wouldn’t he have done it yet?
