Biggest game in Buffalo since last week. Too bad it's still 14 hours away, not sure I'll have a liver by then still.

This is what I keep wondering. There has been so much unwarranted optimism around here. We're still the exact same team.

Last I checked (and I could be wrong), Kane has never beaten his child’s private parts with a switch until they bled. Adrian Peterson is a piece of ***** scumbag child abuser. At worst Kane is a degenerate gambler who has allowed himself to take on six dependents who are almost certainly Jack Johnsoning him.

I snipped some out but I couldnt disagree more with what I’m thinking is a McD-Diggs/Skinner-Ralph comparison. Diggs was poorly utilized and unhappy in Minnesota and came to Buffalo. He has said on a number of time everyone from Allen to Daboll to McDermott allows him to play his game and trusts him to make smart decisions. Skinner was in a very similar situation in Carolina when he was traded here and said many of the same things. Now we have Ralph and we have the current iteration of Skinner. McDermott is a person of the people and the way that his players speak of him is nothing like that of Ralph. Yea, plenty of Sabres praise Ralph in different ways, but it is nothing like the love and affection and respect and admiration that Bills players speak of McD. Skinner was never worth his contract, that isn’t on Ralph. But much of what has transpired with Skinner is totally and completely on Ralph. This is the closest I’ll ever come to defending Skinner, but he’s certainly not fully responsible here. Let him play his game, that’s why you signed him.

I am fairly positive there is a large contingent that never liked Skinner and is already long sour on Krueger. You can certainly count me in that boat.

I love Sam Reinhart; he’s by far my favorite Sabre and in my opinion the most overlooked player on the team. But PLD is going to be a top 20 center in the league and that’s more valuable than a top 20 RW. Straight up Buffalo needs to make that every day. Slot Cozens with Jack, put PLD on line two with VO and Skinner and this is a better Sabres team.

Even if he does they will still be hamstrung on the backend. It was bad after 40+ and it’s bad now.

Like a lot of others have said—if it’s going to happen better it be Roswell than someone else. I’d prefer Labatt’s over Key Bank, but at the end of the day I don’t actually care past the tiny part of me that died.

Lots of good and a lot of bad. Indy’s first half points came on questionable delay of games, but you’ve still got to make those stops. We didn’t seem to play “our game” much in the first half, but we looked a lot more sharp in the second frame I thought. Indy played their game to a T and we still came out on-top. We’ve got to make sure we dictate the next game and make Pitt/CLE play our game and we will be just fine. Go Steelers; Go Ravens; Most importantly, LETS GO BUFFALO!!!!!!!!!!

There are drubbings every year in the four man playoffs but we still do those and deem them inconclusive. The truth is, the best team in college football probably wins the title every year as it is. There are too many teams on the outside with undefeated seasons that want their chance to get whooped up on, let them have their fun. Who knows, crazier upsets have happened.

The MAC would likely need to beat a 5 seed to play the SEC champion. If they do that why shouldn’t they be able to play the SEC?

I think 12 is a good number. 10 conference winners and two wild cards and give the top four a bye week. The first round games should be much better football with the top four getting byes.

The taxi squad is more or less in name only on non-game days. The NHL has said it can be used to cap saving reasons. With constant paper transactions, players will likely only need to clear waivers once. What better time than to do so at the end of camp and start the savings immediately?

Because of the salary cap implications Okposo will almost certainly start the season on the taxi squad. Is there any chance they try the same with Skinner?

Leafs, Bruins, Sens, Habs, Flyers, Islanders, Hurricanes

.500 will be an accomplishment. Five of those teams are better than us.

If nobody is built for it anymore then everyone is built for it now. Everyone gets fed up enough to fight someone after you play someone 8 times. Even better when you know there isn’t some goon on the other team.
