Why give up an asset to get rid of a contract that is replaced by an equally bad contract this year. No positive in year 1 of that deal. I would consider something like that with Moulson at the end of the year where we can use the space in 2018-2019.

Last year before the injury he looked slow, but he was quick handed and cagey. His trigger finger is much slower post injury and I think his reaction time is really slowed. Maybe he rushed back too soon. Not from a medical standpoint but from a practice pov.

Interesting discussion about him on HF boards. The majority find him lacking in identifying talent. He is a jock sniffer and doesn’t put in the work to find the gems. He likes front runners and media darlings. I don’t know him and couldn’t verify any of the accusations but many north of the border were glad to see him leave hockey Canada.
