  1. It's my teams though. Bills, Sabres, Mets. Those teams get some damn weird calls go against them even after review. So glad that MLB trotted out to "explain" that one  There's also an argument in the rule book that Utley and the batter should have been out. Oh and I love how Cal is sooooo worried about Utley's stupid face after Tejada got carted off the field. Hey Cal! :censored: :censored: :censored: News just came in that Tejada has a broken right fibula. Series could have turned on that unfortunate clusterfudge of events. Goodnight Sabrespace. That call changed the entire momentum and gave this game to the Dodgers. Umpires, referees, etc can directly influence games and series with suspect calls. Where's Swamp when I need him? Unfortunately probably not watching baseball :P
  2. Hard slides are ok. He clearly slid late and after the bag. There's also an unwritten rule that you don't slide like that and he's known for it.
  3. Seriously, how is Utley safe? It makes no sense. If he actually bats again in this series, he needs a fastball in a very painful, not well cushioned place. Was Collins unable to challenge it? What was the reasoning there? Seems like part of the challenge would be whether Utley was actually SAFE or not, and he definitely was NOT. You can't frickin be safe if you never touched the bag. Neighborhood doesn't even matter. He never touched the bag until he jogged his overpaid, over-the-hill butt back out to 2nd from the dugout.
  4. And Justin Turner looks like and is the same size as a garden gnome :P I feel a tiny, tiny bit better now having said that.
  5. Can someone explain to me how Utley gets called safe when he never touched the base and ran to the goddamn dugout without still touching it? He also vaulted OVER the bag into Tejada. It was dirty. . And the Mets of course get screwed in the end. All sports replays suck. They still don't get them right. Please be sarcasm
  6. Thor pitching the 7th now. Surprising. Good thing Wright was the hero last night. 0-3 with a strikeout and 2 GIDP tonight. Colon over Reed? Wtf Terry? Don't have a good feeling about this. Can Chase Utley retire soon? There are few players in MLB I like less. He's not a goddamn LB and slid way late. Bordering on dirty if not over the line. :censored: Utley did the same thing to Tejada in 2010. Slid after the bag into his legs. And man these umps suck. Utley never touched the bag. Let's have another review because 4 hours of baseball is just not enough :censored:
  7. He has settled down nicely unfortunately. Another good pitching duel.
  8. 2 early homers for the Mets off Grienke.
  9. Holy crap! You are so right. I wanted to listen to the games while at work on local radio Friday. Do you think any one of the billion stations in Columbus, Ohio was playing them? Oh, and as a side note, even finding a programming schedule is difficult for most stations.
  10. My Hockeystreams has been awesome. No complaints at all from this first time customer.
  11. Amerks off to a great start this year. Gives us some hope while we endure the Sabres slow start.

    That guy

Oh I know. Paul Szczechura, right?
  13. Breathing room!
  14. Thought they were worse than that. Seemed like it. Winnipeg pulled away in April. And Calgary held on. I'd still be willing to bet on a down year for the Kings.
  15. :w00t: Perfect! You mean "Hatty Matty"? Edit (separate subject): First time in MLB playoff history that both starting pitchers have 11+ strikeouts.
  16. Hence the "could". The 2nd half of last year wasn't so hot either.
  17. Wow, LA is not off to a good start. Could be a down year for them. Might give them a chance to shed some salary and rebuild on the fly with a high draft choice and some cap room.
  18. He's "Twitter" famous!
  19. Arrieta seems like good dude. Was that really your friend?
  20. Pitching duel as advertised continues. Both starting pitchers have double digit strikeouts after 5 innings.
  21. Yeah, BJs are not supposed to disappoint!
  22. Great holiday weekend of sports. Playoff baseball every day. College FB Saturday although I'll skip that. NFL Sunday (Hope the Bills look good). And of course hockey matinees on Saturday and Monday for the Sabres! Plus The Walking Dead comes back Sunday night :D
  23. Ump is horrible for sure. How is he behind home plate for game 1? Kershaw is bouncing every other pitch and the Mets are swinging at 75% of them :wallbash: But he is a hall-of-fame pitcher, so I guess I can't fault them too much. Just a little more patience please? Cuddyer is going to lose this game or another in this series if they don't get him the out of LF.
  24. He's got a good blend of skill and toughness. Just has to be more consistent and stay healthy. Also has alot to live up to with his brother wearing the "C" in Columbus and becoming a star.
