On a separate note, does anyone else think the attention for a signing of this stature seems a little too much? I'm imagining the Sabres media people were like "oh, this kid's a golden throwback, we gotta get him out there" and Sabres management is going along with it, attempting to appease the fanbase.

This is the essential point. Yes, all these things may need to be done. Should they have been done already? Maybe, but they can't be done now in time for this team right now. Calling up toughness. Attempting to manufacture backbone and toughness is all that can be done right now. Like I said, it's transparent and a very sad state of affairs for this franchise.

If I owned the Sabres I'd be sure to have the same influence after seeing what's happened previously against Tampa, especially given the GM, HC, and players' milquetoast responses when the incidents happened. I'd also have serious doubt that the the team was capable of responding to further cheap shots or exacting any old school hockey retribution if needed. If Terry had influence in this decision, then I completely agree with him.

Tampa has taken out 2 Sabres players this year, with little to no repercussions or response, and have basically treated the Sabres like they have no respect at all for them. Glad that some response appears to be taken in advance of their next meeting. Doesn't mean it will make any difference, but at least there is a possibility of some deterrent, where there was absolutely none before.

Skiesta: I really enjoyed it. Super easy to drink, which could be dangerous.

Very disappointed that we somehow have NO ONE to step up, even temporarily if Jack is out. Reinhart? No.2 pick should be able to, but no. Skinner? $7 million man. Nope. $9 million man? So much better. Risto? Any of the other D? Hutton sucks. Young guys and rookies looked the best before I shut the game off in disgust.

Haha I wish. At work. FYI, Costco has sampler cases of Sierra Nevada consisting of 6 packs of Skiesta, Torpedo, Pale Ale, and Southern Gothic. Just haven't gotten to the Skiesta yet!

With much more testing to be done, my favorites so far have been: Mad Tree brewery's Thundersnow. Has ginger, nutmeg, vanilla, and cinnamon. 8.2% And Columbus Brewing Company's Citra Noel. Tastes just like a Christmas pine tree would I imagine. 7.3%

It's all about subscribers for them though at this point. They won't be profitable for a few years anyway, so they're just trying to get as many customers as possible, any way they can. They got me the opposite way. I was already a subscriber to Hulu commercial free, so I could add Disney and ESPN+ for a buck or two it was a no brainer. Next couple weeks on ESPN+ are good for Sabres fans, as they have 3 games streaming: Sabres-Flyers Bruins-Sabres Sabres-Bruins
