I miss really caring about the playoffs. I love NHL playoff hockey. Unfortunately it's not the same without the Sabres. I'll watch a bit, but I can't really care much. Decade and counting. Sigh.

None of you have been to Columbus in the last few years. Tons of breweries and restaurants. I don't go to chains or drink macro beer and I find plenty of places to go, downtown or in the burbs. But it's ok. I like it being a secret. More for me.

Anyone use the streaming service "Quello"? Supposed to be a lot of live concerts on there. I'm considering it, because although I'd love to see some concerts, it's $80 per seat (after Ticketmaster gouges you as well) for nosebleed seats if you're lucky.

I agree, but whatever works I guess. The lottery ended up being a good idea. Who knew that an extremely low chance to win a million bucks would be a way to get people to get vaccinated? This kind of thing works on a large segment of the populace unfortunately.

Ohio is doing a lottery, the "vax-a-million". 5 weekly drawings for a million bucks for an adult and a full scholarship to college for minors. Vaccinated people only. Vax rates have increased 28% since "vax-a-million" was announced.

Anyone have any good recommendations for good buffalo style pizza and wings close to the I-86 corridor/southern tier/ southern finger lakes area? I'm visiting in July and after reading all this, I have to try and find something.

My 16 year old had his 2nd shot and my 14 year old had her first shot last Saturday. On June 5th, when my youngest has her 2nd, I will have vaccinated everyone I can legally vaccinate. Rest is up to you guys.

Columbus probably wouldn't do it. Maybe as part of a larger trade, but I'd also trade a year of Risto for a year of Jones in a heartbeat. Change of scenery type trade.

Does Eichel to Columbus make sense? Guy at the bar has me thinking about it. Says he has a source. Who knows? They have tons of cap space, goalies to spare, 3 first round picks this year including a lottery pick. Made sense after a couple beers. Could be a under the radar option. And this was before Seth Jones wouldn't commit to his future in Columbus. I wonder if something could be worked around Jones, one of the goalies, and their high pick? He says it's an open secret that the Jackets will bring Foligno back and they want him to be the 2nd line center/beloved team leader type guy behind Eichel and do a quick rebuild on the fly. They have tons of assets to spare, and will have a new coach coming in. Still makes sense to me. We'll see. He said they almost had something worked out when Eichel got injured, for what it's worth.

I get it. Unfortunately there's no patience from the fan base after a decade of embarrassment, and no one wants to work here or play here for the same reasons. All because this type of rebuild should have been done the first time and wasn't. No one wants to be 3,4,5 years out of the playoffs (at a minimum) again while rebuilding, but you're right we likely have no choice.

Remember what team this is. We have neither of those. Far from it.
