“You have to trust how you’re playing” does not sound like a dig at their work ethic.

Nobody billed him as our new big tough guy. He was billed as a guy that’s fast (he is), hits (leads the team), blocks shots (3rd amongst forwards), and kills penalties (only :48 secs/game). The play leading to the Tage goal was spectacular. He shut Seguin down cold on a rush and must have been shot out of a cannon to join the play and get the primary assist. Would love to see the whole ice view of that sequence.

Special teams obviously need work. Against a Cup favorite tonight they gave up 1 SOG across three shorthanded situations and the one pp they had was the best effort of the season. yes, show me the baby. Nevertheless…

He was definitely feeling the moment and reacted the only way he knew how at the time. I thought it was really well done all the way around.

I would be more inclined to think it’s related to whatever injury kept him out of camp. Seems less of a stretch.
