As Thompson gets experience at center and improves defensively, his stick length is going to become such an asset. We're seeing it already. But imagine a Brian Boyle type in his own zone, but with 30G+ potential.

That's where I think Johnson has the skating ability to cover for his offhand. But Bryson is a good 6/7 option while we ramp up to our new core for the next season or two.

Cozens, Tuch, and Bjork... 3 lines represented on that shift and they just went into all-out scramble mode. Yikes. You know... if VO, Asplund, and Krebs can mesh... that's a really well-round 3rd line. Undersized/undergrit... but if you can get them an o-zone faceoff and find a 4th line of NHL-caliber heavy grinders who are defensive zone monsters next season, that'd be an OK bottom 6.

Kaprizov's vision is elite. Fun to watch.

The Wild came back from 4 one-goal deficits last night and did it another time early this year. The Sabres need to keep pushing the pace and wear them down and out.

Our 4th line... Good job, Tuch. He's been missing his drive lately, but there it was.

I was thinking "Your eyes can deceive you. Don't trust them." But then my brain went to Threepio on Bespin yelling, "Trust him them! Trust him them!" Such is my world. It may be that it's the most experienced line outside of the Skinner-Thompson-Tuch line and they play a more non-event game... But yes, Girgs and Hinostroza can't get back too soon, because they should displace Bjork and cause some reshuffling in the bottom six.
