  1. And that's the Cozens we're looking for!
  2. Concentrate all fire on that super star destroyer power play. Let's close this out.
  3. Also, that keep and pass by Dahlin was lovely.
  4. ... looking like them in a few more years. Someone keeps saying Olofsson is a one-trick pony. If your only trick is scoring goals that spark comebacks or take the lead... that's a pretty good trick.
  5. They are really tenacious. I hope our Carolina-scouting-contingent has us looking like them WOOOOOOO!
  6. Gah! Mitts with the assertive check, take the puck possession, get to center ice... but then hands it right to CAR to go back the other way instead of getting it deep. Consistency.
  7. Really poor start. Weakly poking at the puck to try to clear the zone rather than skating a few strides and moving it with authority. Cozens' turnover. Going to have to reawaken.
  8. Yes for the local market games. But not the TNT or NHL Network games. The Heritage Classic v. Toronto is not accessible on ESPN+.
  9. Stay aggressive. Remember the Alamo Death Star! JT Compher following in his sister's footsteps.
  10. Many ways to interpret that... not good at establishing a cycle in the o-zone except for Okposo's line, not good at winning faceoffs leading directly to a scoring chance, reliant on the opposition being unsettled to get a goal... However... some of the best Sabres teams I ever saw felt like it was "Hasek makes a great save and as the opposition looks skyward, the Sabres rush up-ice and score". It can all work out.
  11. And that, 'Spacers, was a good period.
  12. Hino has to watch his temper. He had another retaliation penalty a few games back.
  13. It really would be nice to hit one or two passes in transition in the 2nd period.
  14. Butcher reminding us why we like Pysyk more as a #7 (edit: or 8 )
  15. What a super-aggressive PK they have. Gotta dump and chase for a possession next time.
  16. A communications disruption can mean only one thing... Evasion! of a college draft pick to free agency.
  17. The other person I see as a very real possibility to join the Amerks (if Hinostroza is re-signed and Quinn looks good in camp) is Bjork. No team in the league is going to pick up his $1.6M contract.
  18. Definitely a possibility. Every team has one or two of those tweeners that could get nabbed. It depends on when he's sent down (that last wave of preseason cuts?) and if anyone else has had a recent RHD injury that'll put a regular on LTIR for half the season. The Sabres had Joker and Samuelsson missing games early and picked up Wolanin for a game. Then Wolanin ended up right back with the Kings.
  19. This is exacerbated by Arttu leaving Rochester this coming offseason. I believe Fitzgerald is back in ROC to start next season once a veteran NHL RHD is acquired/UFA-signed. He can be a good 7/8 call-up if injuries hit, but it's best if he plays in the AHL rather than warming the press box seat in Buffalo. The Amerks already signed Knoepke to an AHL-level deal, but I imagine the Sabres will also sign 1-2 college UFAs after the Frozen Four completes to help fill out the Amerks roster for next season.
  20. Same here. I do watch some other NHL games and as a result of searching for what's live for this thread I'm watching a bit of the Twins final spring training tuneup... but otherwise the ESPN+ is just for the Sabres.
  21. Not everything. ESPN+ blacks out your local market live (but you can watch the replay). They also don't carry TNT or NHLNetwork games live or on replay.
  22. The flipside is ESPN+ has so much more content than NHL.tv did, pre/post-games notwithstanding. Right now there's pre-season MLB baseball, NCAA baseball, Indian Premier League cricket, NCAA women's lacrosse, and Sportscenter... all rolling along at 1030AM PT/130PM ET. The intriguing thing will be playoff games. I'm not sure if ESPN+ will show NHL playoffs live.
