  1. They've split out the PP shots (splitting Tage and VO), perhaps to spread out the threats. But Krebs/Mitts aren't owning the puck and distributing yet. I think only one of Krebs/Mitts stays on the wing within a few weeks if this continues.
  2. Ekblad ties up Okposo on the PP. Bryson not strong enough to tie up Tkachuk.
  3. That's a pretty nasty leg clip leading to this.
  4. A nose-goal was almost there! That would've silenced all those critics of giving someone a 7-year extension before scoring a NHL goal.
  5. A stand-up goalie from the 1970s would've had hit in the shoulder.
  6. Between them and all the breakaways against the Sens... this is a good way to start the season and work up to form.
  7. On the goal, Joker with a pretty and hasty decision. And then... the reason Florida could be in trouble. Staal has no legs. Eats it. Tuch then feeds the net further.
  8. Nice transition. Quinn Wooohooo! As I was saying, Quinn needs to get to the far side of the net-front on that previous Mitts/Tuch transition. Instead he was too close to Tuch. But then we do it again. Way to Tuch it.
  9. Dahlin -- that's the only garbage turnover allowed today, alright? From here on out, it's on.
  10. Ray said excellent job just before the JJP penalty and... what game was he watching? It's been all Florida and the Sabres dumping it at center ice for a line change.
  11. Photon torpedoes are from that other franchise's universe.
  12. Can you just dress the emergency goalie every game? Your equipment manager/emergency goalie on a cap-free deal? Seems like there'd be some rule prohibiting that.
  13. By the All-Star Game, we'll have threads started for every game through the rest of the season (as well as all 16 postseason games). The Panthers are so solid up front, even losing Marchment and with Duclair on IR. I love Forsling and Ekblad, but the rest of that blue line is unimpressive for a team with Cup aspirations.
  14. At that time it would have been Thompson, Asplund, and Bjork. But then Thompson would have been a 3/4 wing on a defense-first Kraken lineup last year instead of a breakout at center.
  15. Hasek's placement will be determined by how the Athletic staff/metrics value goalies and how good the teams around them were. Hasek could be as high as #2. If it's all about Cups and dominant teams then he'll be top 15 with Roy/Brodeur above him.
  16. Because they were all born in 1993? (When the Coneheads movie was released.)
  17. If you need to hack it the old-school way, just add this to the end of the youtube path: &t=#s where # is the number of seconds. For example, &t=90s will start at the 1:30 mark of the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Mh5aKUGvXM&t=30s (Edit: You can also specify minutes: &t=1m30s)
  18. Stat sheet is looking good after one: G: Weissbach, Murray. A: Malone, Rosen, Kulich, Rousek. And Kozak with a penalty!
  19. Yup. Warren and Olischefski are there. Pekar, nope. I checked Cincinnati and he's not there either. "I don't even work here!" Though, if he's good for the morale of Kulich and Rousek and their off-ice adapting to Rochester, that's good too.
  20. Pekar isn't even on the amerks.com website roster.
  21. True, but he got into 20 games because of injury and posted a .913. He was sliding out of position and flopping a bit too much, but as far as rookie potential he was looking like a future 1B type then.
  22. The ice time is the Power Effect. Bryson was average 18 and 19 min/game almost every month until April last season. Power arrives, Bryson is down to 14:22 ATOI to wrap the season. And that's OK. Power is a top 4, Bryson is a #6. He can still provide meaningful minutes, skate in speedy matchups, and make smart decisions that allow Boushh to go play wrecking ball from time-to-time.
  23. Alright... if we get .972 sv% from Anderson in 25-30 games this season, we should be OK. He was excellent on many a turnover rush tonight.
