Quinn is their only reliable D and their only transition guy. Pressure him without end and disrupt that transition and we'll be OK. They've got some good forwards and have been decent 5-on-5, but the Sabres speed can definitely cause their D to have a nightmarish game.

Home opener, first game at home after a 5-game road trip... Vancouver is going to try to win the game in the first 10 minutes. If the Sabres can weather that storm (maybe even get a transition counterattack goal midway through the first... then start to take the game over in the 2nd where they've played so well... they could run away with this one. That's best case scenario.

Vancouver has had a lead (it looks like in the 2nd period) in every game this year. They’ve also had multiple 1st period goals three times. I don’t think the Sabres will catch them flat-footed, but the Sabres can definitely catch them and outrun them by the end.

@Flashsabre has already covered it, but the difference is the lineup. This is the really solid March '22 lineup with extra additions and more experience for the kids. They'll continue to get better as they're really still in preseason mode (as is the opposition). Fitz skated for him in Calgary for the day-to-day foot. I hope Lyubushkin is good enough to go --- Bryson, Fitz, Pilut is a top-end AHL lineup, but they're all #6 guys at this level.

I don't see how you make a forward change after doubling up Calgary and realistically being a few inches from tripling up Calgary. Krebs is the weakest link right now, but he's playing center with two vets and their line is doing just fine. I'd rather have Girgs on the wing than take Krebs out for... Quinn on PP2, I guess? No need for a change for Vancouver. The VAN lineup change will be on defense and I really hope it's Boushh in for Joker if he can't go. I would say you can reintroduce Quinn during the homestand.
