  1. Well, shoot. What a crappy 5-game stretch. However, play like they did tonight (particularly in goal) and they'll do fine in the next 6. They'll get back above .500.
  2. They're becoming them. Quinn is improving. JJP continues to look legit. Cozens. Power. They're coming along. Patience, soon we will be with them.
  3. I mean.... that's a desperate challenge, but... sure. Try it.
  4. The Bruins are fully healthy and Bryson/Pilut aren't stopping them. Edit: Beyond that, the game was good. Hey Krebs, go fight Marchand. Make it happen.
  5. Kincaid, (and the posts) perhaps. But the Sabres have had plenty of good pressure this period.
  6. No. Win it 4-1. Get the game winner and 2 empty netters. One of the ENs can be VO for the Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!
  7. Remember how Reinhart fell down all the time? And then he grew up a bit and .... he didn't fall so much. (Any more than a Crosby or Marchand or TNT falls, anyway. Falling is a part of the game.) The Sabres are 2 years from all these young guys not falling so much. It's going to be a lot of fun when they grow into their professional hockey bodies. Cozens doesn't need to drop a glove there, stay out of the box, we're forcing the issue on them and they know it. That said, let's go get a 4-on-4 goal.
  8. Negative. Didn't go in. Just impacted on the goalie. Kinkaid has been very good tonight. And super-quick getting to the dump-ins. He's been better than Swayman (this year).
  9. I.... don't think they were offside there. They've been offside a whole bunch.
  10. That's what a really good top line and top pairing looks like. But we held on. JJP with the right move, the perfect shot isn't there, so play the rebound. If you're TNT or VO, yeah, snipe it. But otherwise, keep the pressure on.
  11. Undrafted, eh? I mean... he was acquired via trade. But I don't get it.
  12. Marchand had an extended hand in Boushh's face, so he gave him some shoves over the top of his back. Nothing gets called in a playoff game, it's just two players establishing position and battling. In a game where Boston has 3 consecutive penalties and the refs think there's some unbalance (there isn't), they give a whistle because they're looking. In playoffs -- 10. In this specific scenario, 3. But it should have been 2 each, or nothing. It's stuff you see every single game go uncalled.
  13. If you call that, you've gotta call the Marchand elbow. Or.... just let them play. That was nothing.
  14. Gotta avoid blocking with the side of the knee.
  15. Please be OK, Dahlin.
  16. One of those has to go in. Come on, puck luck!
  17. VO and TNT on the same PP. But then R2 switches so VO is at the point... set up the one-timer, gents! JJpost.
  18. Wait... the B's coach says he can't find ice time for Foligno but that Foligno is "playing so well". So... he's done? Just like last year? Otherwise, you know, you'd find ice time for him.
  19. Hino... put that to Girgs or put it right on the pad so Girgs might tap it. Thanks, Ray, that's what I was typing.
  20. Uncle Owen is going to be so good... once he's old enough to look like an uncle, of course.
  21. Krebs needed to get back and be the D-man with Dahlin in deep there. I think Krebs, anyway. Both Mitts and VO were on the offensive. Fewer odd-man rushes against, please.
  22. And VO is the left-hand shot to one-time that pass. Quinn should be on the left dot on PP2 as the Thompson equivalent.
  23. Looking for the pretty shot instead of just shooting and looking for a greasy rebound.
  24. Someday Krebs is going to shoot it quick, and I hope I'm there to see it.
  25. NHL 98 -- slide past the goalie at the top of the crease in full "hold stick at the top of the slap shot" mode. Then, release. Every time. You're taking a slap shot from 6 feet out? Yes, yes I am. Great shot kid, that was one in a... well, every three, really.
