  1. If the Sabres make the playoffs, Dahlin isn't going to just get Norris votes, he'll get a few for the Hart as well.
  2. Well, if GM Sheevyn is going to announce something to give this team a morale boost and energy for the end of the season, now's the time.
  3. To tie the game? Or one GWG and one ENG?
  4. Nice. Good draw, Jost! That's a mean little leg-swing trip by Clifton.
  5. Boston's starting to gain offensive zone time. That's where the Sabres counters need to be goals. Gotta finish this period strong.
  6. Nosek's been noticeable. I'd like UPL to not hunch down on that shot that hit the crossbar though. That little hunch takes him from 6'4" down to 6'1". If something is up, surprised they didn't hold him out entirely.
  7. And another one. Well... we're opening them up. That's good, now hang on defense!
  8. Stick hold prevented the Sabres from transition, should've been a call.
  9. Well... yeah. Retro to last Friday for moving pieces. This is the way. Come on, R2! You've got to come back. You wouldn't want our lives to be boring would you?
  10. And $900k is the new $750k this summer. That's a new UFA goalie right there! That's Effective, Efficient, and Economical. 😇
  11. Not on emergency loan, per capfriendly. He's subject to waivers.
  12. It is AHL-only. That's one more slot freed up. Still 3 goalies on the Sabres though, which is the real hang-up.
  13. Hmm. But yes --- for next season, that's the obvious person Bloom (or the Bloom equivalent) would step in for.
  14. Ha! The Icehogs website has it as "Gicewicz Traded To Rochester For Future Considerations"
  15. To be fair, Bjork is a Rochester player.
  16. Chicago mishandles the request and types in "Korchinski" instead of "Welinski". We can dream.
  17. Oh man, that Bogo debut! Steve Bernier! Also of note the trade tree now stands as: Marcus Johansson --> Eric Staal --> 2021 MTL 3rd (Josh Bloom) + 2021 MTL 5th (Viljami Marjala) + D Riley Stillman
  18. So for the moment this trade tree reads... Taylor Hall + Curtis Lazar = Aleksandr Kisakov + future considerations
  19. Dreger says there's another Aho who'll be even better than Sebastian Aho (the forward one) coming back from Chicago. CJ I. Aho. I've never heard of him though. 😇 As nice as this is to treat Bjork with respect as a player and person, and as much as I love "Skoren de Goalen bjork bjork bjork!", I'd prefer that Adams be helping the Sabres for the stretch and not worry about the feelings of a bottom 6 forward on the Amerks. Priorities!
  20. If it follows the Nashville Jeannot trade: 2024 1st, 2025 2nd, 2026 3rd, 2027 4th, 2028 5th, 2029 1st, etc. Just Saros? I'd say Comrie or UPL, conditional 2023 protected 1st, Rosen or Kisakov, and a 3rd. I was drafting up a goalie instead of the other 1st.
  21. Quick comes off the bench with the VGK trailing LAK in game 2 of the series. Already down 1-0 in the series and trailing 3-0 after one in game 2.... can Quick exact vengeance on his old team? Could be a fun playoff. How many 1st and 2nd round picks does VGK give up for a backup goalie?
  22. It's possible, however unlikely, they might find a weakness... and exploit it. But I doubt it because any good goalie with term would block Levi who hasn't even signed a contract yet.
  23. Oh! So when Eichel is controlling the GM he's a GM and coach-killer. And when it's a GM making promises to Giroux it's all good and happy Chychruns? 😇
  24. Well, sure, but Quick hasn't been good in ages. Good teams don't keep bad players just because the player helped them win 10 years ago: that's poor management. Instead, look at the Kings -- in 2nd place in their division, with a loaded farm system and an upward arrow. And no destined goalie of the future. Portillo's going from one potential bright future to another.
