People need to stop posting youtube clips, for my sake. I always end up starting a 5 sec clip of family gu and end an hour later with some video daring me not to laugh(dont know why). So much of my time, it seems, has been wasted...at least I stop watching the games for alot of that time...

I agree with those who say the penalties are technically correct, for the most part. But some of them would have been let go in the past. It seems like the refs are calling every little thing this year.Obviously our personal fouls are inexcusable, but every game in the nfl has just too many penalties. Its getting to the point where im watching the refs more than the players.I dont blame them for losses, but the game is just so slow and its so much harder to get heavily invested because of it lately Just my 2cents

I personally believe Chara's success had much more to do with spezza, alfredsso, heatley, havlat, hossa and vermette. Success gave him confidence, and then going to Boston gave him a leadership role (which he definitely excelled at)

I know this is probably not the thread for it, but has anyone else noticed the NHL is the only league not completely blanketed in controversy lately? NFL has the Ray Rice thing, Bad drug issues and players getting shot on a by-yearly basis. NBA has serious racism issues. And MLB has horrible PED scandals, the METS thing now and just recently solved their issue with avoiding technology.

I think next year will effectively be a 'lets get a good look at our youth' year. One by one calling up young guys and seeing how they react in the big boy league. I also believe this will be done by Murray in a smart way(one or two at a time at most) and not how Regier's stupid @$$ did it at the beginning of this season. That was ugly and almost killed our future stars' confidence

Anyone else get the feeling Des may be the future Ott type replacement? Maybe a little offense, good defensively, very physical big brother type who can fight?
