Not saying it’s impossible that Eichel doesn’t GAF anymore. But we do seem to have better goaltending and the bottom six is better than it’s been in a while. Seems there’s reason for him to be motivated.

He’s less aerodynamic. The weight of his hair throws off his shooting accuracy too.

I have a strange unvalidated feeling this is Skinner’s last season in Buffalo.

We add the big name or aging former Sabre comes back. We are told and believe it will add leadership, some skill and depth. It’s really just a way to peak our interest enough to spend money.

Cozens confidence grows with every shift.

Maybe for one period we can get Skinner and Cozens on Eichel’s line. Just to see what happens.

One injury and RK finds a way to make the top line look like dog ****.

I think it would be interesting to do a poll asking people to rank the four major sports in terms of their level of interest. Then you could ask why they chose that rank. I read somewhere Americans like higher scoring sports like basketball and football than lower scoring sports. Maybe hockey is boring to some people like tennis is to most people. I think if the NHL advertises the sport hard enough it will expand. Maybe someday the league moves into Mexico and truly becomes a North American league.

I was trying to think of where Girgensons would fit in on this team.

Cozens line starting to look dangerous like the Eichel line.

I think KO had a good game especially since it’s his first one back. He’s a steady player that gives 100 percent. Eichel’s line is usually fun to watch. I felt like he was trying to force it a couple times. Once the flood gates open watch out. Our bottom six try and Skinner in particular is trying to make lemonade with lemons. Sheehan actually looks competent and I can’t complain about Lazar or Eakin. Ullmark is a good goalie IMO. I think he’s ready to start. Definitely not top ten but he’s maturing. Our second line sucks. I know Staal got two but outside of one game that line just kinda eats minutes. Insert Skinner to play with Olofsson and I think you see a noticeable difference. Although he didn’t play I want Cozens in the lineup. He got his first early in the season and I want to see how far he can go. Between him and Mitts I choose Cozens.

Look at the bright side. Not getting to watch the Bills anymore scratches one thing off the weekly to do list.

Not trying to be the negative guy and happy about the win. It took a shootout to win against a team missing a good chunk of their skill guys. But we do have some secondary scoring this year and we occasionally score a PP goal.

Defense might want to show up.
