  1. Nope. TNT decided you the viewer care more about how much ice time players had on the PP.
  2. Instead of seeing the PP clock we are shown time on ice for each player.
  3. TNT out muscled the defender there. Straight shoulder and forearm strength.
  4. A little glove to the face equals two minutes. This hockey or soccer?
  5. Those guys don’t want to be here. 😁
  6. He was ripped! Don’t know what he said/did probably because he was before my time.
  7. I’m excited to see Power next year. I bet he forgoes a slump like Dahlin had. DG seems to be a confidence builder and with a full NHL season under his belt, Power and Dahlin will be a one-two offensive push on the backend. More importantly I believe Power’s defensive awareness will be improved. He still loses coverage sometimes but I think it’s inexperience causing uncertainty on when to cover a passing lane or provide puck support down low. I think that will be a noticeable improvement next year.
  8. Heard about TNT and my immediate reaction was
  9. Fair assessment. Talent is great to have but how does the talent mesh with linemates and system.
  10. ^^^OK so everyone agrees^^^
  11. Yeah I don’t know who you add to that deal from the Sabres. I know we have a ton of 🔥 power up front and I guess the reality is we’d have to give up VO + prospect and maybe a pick. VO + Peterka + Second Rounder?
  12. So close. Good effort by Dahlin.
  13. Establishing a physical presence helps make puck carriers less comfortable looking for the best passing option. Sabres aren’t built to be a hard hitting team but could benefit from being more physical.
  14. I’ll care about regular SV% more because every shot matters even though some are more dangerous than others. UPL is definitely an NHL level goalie but on an average scoring team I don’t think he would have a 13-5-1 record. Next year I expect he will be better.
  15. No matter what the team defense capabilities impact SV% but I side with SV% is mostly on the goalie.
  16. His regular SV% ranking is also in the 30s. Sub .900SV%. No doubt part of this can be tied to defense injuries or inexperience.
  17. I’d say GAA of your goalies matters. Not going to score four or five goals every game and those lower scoring games have as much impact as any other.
  18. ESPN has him 39th in the league with a 3.29. His actual GAA is 3.35. I don’t know what the minimum games played is but I’d guess he’s middle to slightly below middle of the pack.
  19. None. Spot on. UPL might turn into a real good goalie but for now, you don’t get a 3.35 GAA for no reason.
  20. I think he’s referring to how far out to the right UPL went which very much contributed to his inability to make the save.
  21. Sounds like Lehner’s pregame warmups.
