IMO, wrong configuration of players. Replace Power with an actual second pair quality defensive defenseman. Cozens is really a third liner. Use him as such ASAP. Not a scorer or fighter but plays physical. VO is a one trick pony. Replace with a third line quality/type winger to play with Cozens. Greenway/Girgs/KO/Krebs/Clifton are irrelevant. Goalie situation is as jacked up as it can be. Skinner TT Tuch (scoring line) Peterka Mitts Quinn (scoring line) TBD Cozens Benson (defensive line w/scoring ability) Kulich/Rosen Jost TBD

A smart team would’ve given CAR the puck to hurry up and get the PP. The Sabres wait to get the extra man and kill some time on the clock.

Not on purpose this time but…..

Missing the playoffs by just one point last year should have given the Sabres more reason than any team to improve the roster. Instead it may have been used as a reason not to. Now we continue reaping the benefits of hiring inexperienced GMs. He’s gotta learn to part ways with talent and ceiling to get what the team needs now and for years to come.

Someone needs to remind power of two things IMO. -He is not and likely will not be as talented as Dahlin -He got the new contract because the organization hopes he will earn the money in a couple years. By no means did he earn, nor is he currently earning that value.

In free agency how many goalies would want to come to Buffalo? Other GMs know we are severely lacking in net. They can drive the price and KA is not yet a wheeler and dealer. A more savvy GM would have been nice.

He’ll say they came back once in this game and they can do it again. Doubt they will though.

With Quinn and TT in the lineup we could have Greenway Mitts Benson. That line seemed to click early on.
