I think JJ is/will be a more rounded player. Terrible analogy but JJ is to Quinn what Crosby is to Ovechkin. One is versatile the other is one dimension.

I’ve semi jokingly talked about this. I do wonder if the damage is done. The Coyotes were horrible for so long in a market that probably didn’t have a very resilient fan base. Moving to Utah gave the franchise a fresh start. For Buffalo it would give the city/fans a fresh start. Even if a new owner came in and hired the right personnel in management, how long to make impactful improvements? The fan base would have some reinvigoration but after all these year’s skepticism would temper enthusiasm. I don’t want the team to move but if the ends justify the means, the suffering has to end. Too much history between the team and city to allow this disrespect of that history to continue. It somewhat feels like the end of a relationship where both parties are going through the motions out of familiarity. Sometimes you need to go your separate ways and start fresh. The last decade and a half is a slap in the face of every former player who bled for this team and every fan who emptied their wallet to give the family a memorable night. Despite management’s words the actions/inactions of them and the players show they do not understand the history and pride. They do not understand what that crest stands for and you could say few deserve to wear or represent it.

Ok. They’ve won one game out of seven. At this rate they’ll have somewhere around 10 out of 40 points. Guess we are prepping for next season to be the real win now mode.

Didn’t get to watch but saw the highlights. At least they got a point out of it and the offense has awoken. 9GA in two games is bad though. Seems like it’s either one or the other with this team. Saw the Cozens giveaway that led to a goal.

Greenway seems to be unleashed this year. A true power forward with scoring capability, he uses his size to prevent defenders from pushing him from in front of the net. I’d say he has average hands and embraces the fact his best chance of scoring is within five feet of the net. Defensively he is like a much bigger Benson. He sticks with the play and doesn’t let a puck carrier go without taking a hit. Aside from the once in a while goal, his physicality has the potential to motivate teammates and make opponents rush their puck movement.

Notice the difference in GDT conversations when the team actually plays real hockey.
