It’s a nice problem to have. Which good goalie do I put in net? I have to eat crow on my pregame post about Pommers playing with Jack. He scored a dirty goal and I believe got an apple too. Skinner goes to the dirty areas and I’m back on board with him and Jack playing together. Maybe throw a big guy like TT on that line to see what happens.

Every GDT opening should have this. Here’s to hoping these new lines spark something because the only thing left is call ups and benchings followed by firings. I don’t like Pommers on the first line but maybe he gets Eichel and Skinner to keep it simple. Dahlin on PP 1 is good to go.

I think every GDT this year has said must win lol. Interesting lines. If you are reading this Phil, I don’t think Pommers can skate with Eichel and Skinner. Maybe switch him with Girgs as they have connected before in 17-18.

Know how you fix the power play? Remove KO and tell Jack he is only allowed to shoot, no passing. Move Risto to second pair where he belongs and put Dahlin with Scandella. Bring up some kids from Roch and sit Tage and Pommers. ERod moves to third line where he belongs, not fourth. Hunt down the PP coach’s acid dealer. Shave that rat on Eichel’s face until he hits puberty.

Not true. I am happy they won but If you sit back on a lead without shooting much it’s a good way to give up the lead. It’s also boring. All I’m saying is if they keep pressuring opponents when leading it would cut down the opponent’s chance of coming back.

Because teams like the Caps, Pens, Lightening, and any decent team will turn your two or three goal lead into a deficit. Just so happens we were playing against a team who has only scored two goals this season. The Sabres were not in control because of their system of play. They retained the lead due to the Coyotes’ inability to finish. What more do we want? Sixty minutes of effort. Not fourty with twenty spent trying to hold on. However a win is a win.

I use to think he was so good it only “looked” like he wasn’t trying. Now I see he doesn’t put forth much effort but when he does he is almost untouchable. Shades of Ovechkin minus the insane number of goals.

Blackout on NHL TV so couldn’t watch but saw highlights on nhl.com. Nice tic tax toe with RES line for the second tally. Not to knit pick but anyone think Eichel should have shot it? He moved pretty quick side to side, good vision too. Nice to see a motivated goalie.
