Last meeting it seemed FLA started hitting which took the Sabres off their game. Sabres are initiating the hits tonight and up by two. The third ranked PP looked garbage against our fifth ranked PK. I do not see what FLA has to counter. Goaltending wise Luingo is overrated and FLA isn’t exactly a powerhouse in any capacity. Sure hope we don’t ***** defeat from the clutches of victory.

I don’t see how something could be classic if it happens every year. To answer your question no, the World Series is another sport championship that happens every year. I agree the NHL also ruined the mystique. So IMO there is no mystique and there is no heightened anticipation that comes with extended time between iterations.

Winter Classic is no longer a classic when it’s done ever year. It’s just another regular season game only less exciting. At least to me.
