Sabres have only two established top six forwards, three counting Norris. Need at least one more. Preferably a playmaker. Need to replace Tuch who I think will leave. Need a more reliable 2C since Norris has injury issues. So yeah, we only have TT that is a true reliable top six forward.

I think the first step is just ripping the band-aid off and trading UPL. Go with Lyon and Ellis for the rest of the season.

If Quinn and Muel have actually turned a corner then I might have to change my mind.

That game is what I imagine the NHL brass wants their product to be.

My concern is waiting too long to make any moves that improves skill and consistency. We aren’t winning with Tuch, Power, Quinn, and a couple others. Those three should return good roster players.

That comes after the Olympic break.
