  1. Ugh, season 4 introduced Cutthroat Bitch, the worst character in the history of television.
  2. Yeah, that's why I like to check out the audience score if I'm looking on Rotten Tomatoes as well (which is 85% for Fury Road). If there's a disparity, I tend to feel closer to the audience score than the Tomatometer. (Not that I watch movies very often.)
  3. I'm just explaining how RT does their tomatometer. It's based on the number of positive reviews (whether they're "this movie is fantastic" or "this movie is decent", it all counts the same) it gets. If you look at the breakdown for Fury Road, 354 out of 366 reviews for Fury Road were positive. 354/366 = 96.7213%, which rounds to 97%.
  4. Near perfect scores doesn't mean the movie is nearly perfect. It means the movie is nearly universally liked. It could be a movie that no one loved but everyone liked and it would have a nearly perfect score.
  5. Religion AND politics in the Bills thread. Oy vey.
  6. You picked the one franchise that might have worse fans than the Patriots.
  7. Add me to the pro password manager list. I can't think of any good reason why someone wouldn't use one. You can store 100 character passwords with random mixes of numbers, letters, and special characters and not have to remember any of it. And you can use a different password for everything, so if your password is hacked somewhere, it's completely useless anywhere else. Speaking of passwords, it's an immediate warning sign when sites limit the length of your password. It's extraordinarily unlikely that a site that limits you to, say, 12 characters, stores your password in a hashed and salted database since there is no benefit for those databases to limit password length. That's not even counting the fact that software running on GPUs can check billions of password guesses per second in an offline attack.
  8. I'm still in. By beating me in the first championship, True has become my arch nemesis, so I can't let him win it this year. Oh, and 1 QB.
  9. Speaking of 1-5, said AL champs are 1-5 in their last 6, including their first 4-game losing streak of the season (they were one of five teams who hadn't suffered such a streak at the All-Star break). D'oh!
  10. I should walk off into retirement as there's nowhere to go but down.
  11. Hahahaha, someone got a bit defensive. You started the smack talk wit the Astros, I'm just pointing out their failures against the Tribe. :P
  12. 1-5 against the reigning AL champs this season.
  13. Don't forget about Cody Bellinger. Second fastest player in MLB history to 25 home runs. He got it in his 69th career game. Judge needed 85 games to hit his 25th home run. And Bellinger is 3 years younger. A couple of crazy good rookies this year.
  14. I looked up woot on m-w.com and it says first known use is 2002, but I have IRC chat logs from at least 2000 with the word.
  15. I don't think anyone won E3 this year. Nintendo showed very little real gameplay this year and their two biggest announcements didn't even have a trailer. Sony didn't show any new games (though I loved what I saw from Spider-Man). Microsoft had the Xbox One X and while I can always appreciate new, more powerful hardware, they still didn't have anything worthwhile in exclusives.
  16. I've had Mario Odyssey pre-ordered since March 1 on Amazon. Gotta have that Mario fix. I think I might get the Yoshi game as well. Pass on Kirby. Can't wait for more info on the Pokemon game for the Switch.
  17. I don't understand the point of this slang. Why drop the 'd' from hyped? I've seen this more and more lately. *shrug* I guess I'm just old now.
  18. Don't make me slap you with a fish.
  19. Sooooooo...Eric Decker, anybody?
  20. I was bored by EA, but that's to be expected (for me) as it was my least anticipated event, and sadly one that I can actually watch live.
  21. Looks like Jeremy Maclin is on the market. Watkins + Maclin + Jones? Hmm... That sounds quite interesting.
  22. On a related note, the audiobook for Beyond Band of Brothers: The War Memoirs of Dick Winters is on sale today for $3.95 from Audible.
  23. I watched the first episode of Legion last night. Very interesting. I look forward to watching more.
  24. I finally got around to Stranger Things. So good, I want more right now! Halloween is too far away.
  25. No, but it's pretty close. The PS2 debuted in March of 2000. The PS3 debuted in November of 2006 (6 years, 8 months later). The PS4 debuted in November of 2013 (7 years later).
