Movies / TV Shows - I Have Watched / Plan To Watch
JujuFish replied to Sabres Fan in NS's topic in The Aud Club
I finally watched Silence of the Lambs. Great movie. I shouldn't have put the one off for so long. -
Just consider me a blind squirrel who's gotten good at hiding all of the non-nuts I find, to completely butcher a metaphor.
-
I don't post much because I don't usually have anything valuable to add to discussions, but I've been here for a long enough time that I've accrued a good chunk of posts. I keep coming back because I like the community, and I like reading what people more knowledgeable than I have to say about the Sabres.

I hate it when we punt from inside the 40. I know it ended up with great field position, but I still hate the call.
-
Peterman has 53 yards after 1 drive. Taylor has 53 yards after 7 drives.
-
Now that was a pretty impressive 47 second drive, even though Zay couldn't get his second foot down in bounds.
-
That 12.0 QB rating by Tyrod, impressive.
-
Yeah, I'm pretty happy with the starting defense. 0 points last week and 3 this week despite the Eagles starting two drives in the red zone.
-
And if you want to feel old, there will be people voting in the midterm elections next year that weren't even born the last time the Bills made the playoffs. Barring a miracle this season, that is.
-
If we do wrap up Eichel for 8 years, I might finally be inspired to buy a jersey. I hate the idea of buying a jersey only for that player to leave the team a few years later.
-
Aaron Judge became the 3rd fastest player in MLB history to hit 40 home runs, doing it in 140 games. That distinction lasted a whopping 2 innings, when Gary Sanchez hit his 40th in 139 games. And it is exceedingly likely that Cody Bellinger will beat them both, as he sits at 34 home runs in 97 games. (Jinx time) if Bellinger continues at his current pace, he will hit 40 in 114 games, just 4 games shy of Mark McGwire's record.

I grabbed Johnson with my first round pick and Bell fell to me in round 2 because of his suspension. Good times.
-
ESPN has Bell and Johnson as #1 and #2 in their PPR rankings for this season. I don't suppose you all will let me have them both again, will you?
-
His TD pass was perfect, but it seemed like most of his throws were a bit behind the receiver.
-
That's like saying Gronk isn't the best TE because he gets hurt every year. That is quite disingenuous. Sammy was unquestionably our #1 WR. No, but our best CB last year left for the champions (and I can't blame him). As for Darby, I don't know anyone who projected White to be our #1 ahead of him. He was a top 10 CB in his rookie year. Sure looks to me like they're trying to start out that way.
-
Trading away our best WR and CB before the season starts just screams tanking, IMO.
-
I have only ever seen the home team lose a game once. That was a Yankees game back in ~2005.
-
Without having read up on this thread yet: I don't like the trade, unless our intention is to tank the season. Being sellers before the season even starts? Oy.

Great suggestion. -

I'm kind of in the mood for a coming-of-age movie. Anyone have a favorite? -
Prescott had a 118.0 passer rating when not under pressure from the rush, which was good for 3rd in the league behind the two Super Bowl QBs. He may have been behind a great line, but he took advantage of it better than nearly every other QB in the league.

Ali? Phelps? Jordan? Bolt? Ruth? Gretzky might come out on top, but I'm not as convinced as you (though your point still stands). For Bolt in particular (since he's retired from solo sprinting now), this chart says it all. Fastest 100m times, athletes found doping crossed out: https://i.redd.it/smhoyyeeb4ez.jpg

Uh, no? At least not here.
-
So the Dodgers have won 43 of their last 50 games. The last team to do that was the New York Giants in 1912. Holey moley.

Go Tribe.
