That number is more like 1800, and the point wasn't that it wouldn't happen, but rather that he hasn't been used as much as most people probably think.

His workload hasn't been that bad. He's averaged 23 rushes per game since the start of 2019 (i.e. 39 games ago). His heaviest season (last year, 378) is 19th most in a single season. His second heaviest (2019, 303) is only the 211th most in a single season.

It's the 41st matchup. The Sabres do have 20 wins against the Ducks, but the Ducks only have 17 wins against the Sabres. The last three games are ties. And also, if you get paid to write, you really should know the difference between "a piece" and "apiece".

He was reinstated but never played another down because no team signed him.
