CJ has 451 rushing yards in the past 4 weeks, with the only stinker coming against Minnesota. He put up 141 on Houston's vaunted D. He started the season abysmally, but appears to be getting his groove back.

So apparently that Fitz "fumble" also counted as a sack somehow, thus breaking the streak of no sacks. Edit: Maybe that's just ESPN. NFL.com doesn't list that play as a sack. Edit again: I take that back, it's listed as a sack on NFL.com too. I don't understand how that can be a sack.

It really is so much nicer being up 21-0 rather than down 21-0, isn't it?

Spoken like someone who didn't watch the game. The 49ers lost because of their special teams.

The Atlantic division has 3 of the top 4 teams in the East as far as goals against are concerned this last season. It's ludicrous to say they're in the weakest division.

I'm a bit late to this party, but welcome back, PASabreFan.

Great news. I know his playcalling ("SCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRES") rubs some people the wrong way, but in my limited experience, there is none better in the league at actually calling the play-by-play. Congratulations, Rick

Possible spoiler from the comic book because I can't remember if they touched on this in the show or not:

I remain cautiously optimistic. A win against the Jets will go a long way in my book. The Bills were 5-2 and tied with the Patriots for first in 2008 as well.
-
Home: 2008, 34-10 against Seattle. Road: 1996, 23-20 against the Giants.
-
If I didn't overlook anything, that's only the 2nd time since 1994 that Buffalo won by 34 or more points. The other was in 2004 in San Francisco by the same 41-7 score.
-
Wow, this is crazy. I didn't think Buffalo would put up 40+ points in ANY game this season, especially after trading away Evans.
-
It's actually an 11-0-1 run. They have 2 more wins that are too far back to fit into the L10 record. If Buffalo pulled that off, then I'd start to believe.

Someone is going to get a shutout loss. Hopefully it's not Miller.

I like how, since Enroth has done well this game, suddenly Pittsburgh is offensively challenged. They're offensively challenged even though they're 5-0-1 in their last 6 and have the 3rd most goals for in the conference. Yup, that's offensively challenged.

No, he wasn't. His power play points came against the best PK unit in the league.
-
No, that was a power play goal so it doesn't factor into a +/- rating. He was even at that point because he wasn't on the ice for any LAK goals. Despite both of his points coming on the PP, he was a +1 for the game. So, he was on the ice for 3 out of 4 Buffalo goals and no Los Angeles goals. He certainly deserves criticism, but not for tonight from your biased response.
-
Haha, what a way to end a shootout. I'll take it.
-
Going into this game, Stafford leads all forwards on the team in +/-, with a +4, which is interesting (Montador has +6). On the other end of the spectrum, Myers is a -9, ouch.
-
In happier news, the Yankees are eliminated. That brighten up the night somewhat. :D

A win against Ottawa does the body good, regardless of Ottawa's standing. I think Vanek gets another tonight, maybe two.

Blown tire and dead battery last weekend = blech. Especially frustrating since I was going to go take my brother to a movie for his birthday. I'll be seeing him on Saturday at least.

Found out through a pair of voicemails from my mom that my grandfather had been in the hospital since Sept 29, and just passed away yesterday morning. Second Thanksgiving in a row that's been less than thankful. Last year my grandmother who raised me passed away right before Thanksgiving. Haven't been able to sleep a second since hearing the news. Gah.

It's a spammer. I recommend you delete the reference to that post. No need for that crap on SS.

Sabres become officially eliminated from playoff contention on my birthday.
