  1. As far as I can tell, if the Bills had beaten the Texans (or Chargers or the second Dolphins game), they'd be in the playoffs over Baltimore based on strength of victory tiebreaker. Makes that loss extra painful. Also, JJ Watt has my vote for MVP though he'll never get it.
  2. And it's because of anticompetitive crap like that that the NHL and NBA have a lottery system.
  3. To add a little more, Orton's yards per attempt, yards per completion, and net yards per attempt were all worse than any season Kelly had except his second.
  4. That was Chris Polian who put it together. Chris took over personnel decisions in 2007 for Indy, right about the time when their drafts really started tanking.
  5. Sorry, my post was unclear. I was referring to Chris Polian. Tank was theorizing Bill would push for his son in the GM position.
  6. I wouldn't be too enthused about it. He was less than stellar with Indy.
  7. I wonder how different this would be if you went back to the, say, top 10 poll and made it a 'vote for your favorite' instead of least favorite. I know I'd be voting for RJ.
  8. I feel special. My vote against Hasek broke a tie.
  9. Congratulations, TrueBlue! Well deserved championship.
  10. Hah, apparently not. My brain had a "can't" in there, but my fingers didn't cooperate.
  11. Of the myriad ways Buffalo can miss the playoffs, do you really want it to be because they lost to the Patriots?
  12. Hey, at least the Patriots can't destroy our hopes and dreams if the Raiders take care of business today. Edited for sanity.
  13. To add more salt to the wound, before last night, the Chargers had won only 1 of the 44 games they've been in when down by 20+ at the half.
  14. I have another suggestion for next year. Make the W/R spot a real flex with W/R/T. I didn't realize it until just now when I tried putting Kelce in my flex that it doesn't allow for tight ends.
  15. Or SD can win next week and the Ravens and Bengals can lose out. There are still possibilities, though things are definitely worse now than they were 15 minutes ago.
  16. To tell you all you need to know, Rob Johnson holds the NFL record for most times sacked per pass attempt.
  17. You know what it EXACTLY says? So do please tell me how the Chargers can play San Francisco AND Kansas City before Buffalo plays their next game. I'd sure so like to hear it.
  18. That statement WildCard posted does not claim that they can be eliminated this week despite winning. It requires SD to win both of their games. Side note, as far as I can tell, if Baltimore beats Houston, Buffalo won't win a tiebreaker against anyone. Don't need the Ravens to lose. If Cinci loses twice and the winner of the KC-SD game loses their other game, Buffalo will make it in (with 2 wins, of course).
  19. I don't think it's an all-time great D, but it could very well be the best D in the league this year. Sure, the Patriots and Chargers had their way, but both of those games came in the first half of this season, with the team under a new defensive scheme for the fourth year in a row. The defense has gotten better as the season has progressed, and has only allowed the Dolphins to throw a passing TD on them since week 7. I am definitely looking forward to see how they hold up against Brady in week 17.
  20. I need Forte + Bennett + Colston to outscore Jimmy Graham by 1.07. I'm feeling good about it, but anything can happen.
  21. To agree with many of the above posters, I'm not convinced Murray's plan was to finish last. Having said that, the Sabres are still 27th of 30 teams in points percentage, so if they keep up their current season pace, they'll still have a 9.5% chance to get McDavid.
  22. You beat me and I finished as the #2 seed, haha. What an awful week that one was for me.
  23. Because of the weird tiebreakers, I have no idea who gets the last two spots. It looks like we have 4 teams at 8-6 for the last two spots.
  24. It's like they think they're only down by 1 TD.
  25. Having Anderson is bitter sweet this week. His 3 TDs (so far) are fantastic for my Sabrespace team, but awful for the Bills' tenuous playoff hopes.
